They talk about their dream of their own
farm, and Lennie wants to make sure
there are lots of rabbits on the farm.
Lennie has a dead mouse too which
George throws away.

G & L arrive at the ranch. They meet the
Candy, the Boss,
boss, and he is angry that they’re late.
Curley, Curley’s
Curley immediately dislikes Lennie. They
wife, & Candy’s
learn about Crooks, George is worried

Lennie accidentally kills his puppy.
Lennie & CW talk. He accidentally kills
her. Her body is discovered, Curley
leaves to kill Lennie- Lennie has runaway
though. George steals Carlson’s gun, and
leaves to find Lennie.
Lennie knows he’s done something
wrong. He has hallucinations. George
finds Lennie and they talk about their
dream farm & the rabbits. George tries
to put Lennie at ease, and has him focus
on the dream. George uses Carlson’s
gun to shoot Lennie in the back of his
head. The killing is parallel to the
shooting of Candy’s dog.
