THE TENDENCY FACTOR TO VIRTUAL SOCIAL NETWORK

Article History:
The aim of this study was to investigate the factor of student’s tendency to
virtual social network among students of PNU in Shirvan city. The study in term
of nature and method is descriptive - correlation and in term of method is applied;
the study population consisted of 112 students of the humanities at PNU in
2016. In this study census method used, validity of the questionnaire using
Cronbach's alpha, for 42 questions that alpha value 89.57 percent obtained,
indicating the high validity of the questionnaire. Inferential statistics (normal
distribution test of Kolmogorov- Smirnov, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson) using the
software package SPSS version 19 was analyzed, the results show the impact of
tendency on social networks, education and awareness, quality of TV and radio
programs, leisure and the use of mass media on students' tendency in virtual
social network with confidence 99% is significant.

INTRODUCTION
Virtual social networks in the current developed
world where technology is advancing quickly
considerable work has as much to create a crisis,
protest movement, riots, on the other hand, is
undeniably works deal with crises and social
problems. This is what distinguishes virtual networks
of other groups; governments and regulators cannot
have much control over these networks and the
most difficult obstacle that governments created
(Montazerghaem, 2005: 224). Virtual social
networks, websites for sharing photos and video
recording devices to issue opinions on the Internet
come and meet and connect with each other to help
people from 1997 to 2010, about one and a half
billion users around the world have become the

network (DAS, 2012: 115). Social network, set of
web-based services and make it possible for persons
providing to create their own public or private virtual
environment testimonials (Boyd, 2010: 16). Social
networks also allow people in a specific system have
their own personal profile, introduce themselves to
others, to share their information and communicate
with others in this way, people can maintain their
relationships with others (Ellison, 2007: 210).
Considering that the membership of the social
networks in recent years has been the significant
increase and cannot join young people, especially
students in these networks was unaware (Pompak,
2009: 227).

According to the research conducted in this regard
stated. Payandeh (2014) to examine the social
factors influencing the trend of social networking
students, PNU paid foothills. The findings suggest
learning environment, friends, students tend to
settle in the area have a significant relationship to
social networks and family tendency hypothesis
there is a significant relationship between students'
social networks. Saifullah et al (2015) examined
social factors influencing their tendency to social
networks and there is a significant difference
between the trends of social networks in terms of
socio-economic status. Hamad (2013) study titled
"Understanding and using social networking among
students" that was in Kuwait, it was shown that
more students for the purposes of recreation use of
social networks and lack of experience in the use of
these networks is one of the main reasons for this.
So 99% higher than the average sample confirmed
and since in attitudes to social networks, education
and awareness, the quality of radio and television
programs is positive, the positive impact on social
attitudes, education and awareness and the quality
of TV and radio programs on social networks
confirmed the tendency of students to be placed
and interpreted to promote attitudes to social
networks, education and awareness and the quality
of radio and television programs, the tendency of
students to social networks also increases and the
role of effective and positive attitude to social
networks, education and awareness, the quality of
radio and television programs is the tendency of
students to social networks.
3- RESEARCH METHOD
The study in term of nature and method is

independent t test was used. The significance of

0.05, it shows that all the variables in the two
groups (male and female) have the same variance
and concluded that the two samples are not
statistically significant differences and H0 is not
rejected and we can say that social networks tend
to average scores between boys and girls is
different.
4- ANALYSIS QUESTIONS
T-test single group to determine the effect of
variables on students' tendency to virtual networks
to test the association between variables and the
tendency of students to social networks from one
sample t test was used. The results show that the
sample mean score of attitude to social networking
23.53 ± 3.41, 10.61 ± 1.90 educate and inform,
quality radio and television programs 30.55 ± 6.59,
leisure 9.88 ± 3.17 and 2.39 ± is the use of mass
media 1087 and significant for all variables P <0.01.

marriage on the tendency of students to the virtual
network variables
To test the association between marital status and
tendency of students to the social networks of
independent t test was used. The significance of

0.05, it shows that all the variables in the two
groups (married and single) has the same variance
and concluded that the two samples are not
statistically significant differences and H0 is not
rejected and we can say that the average score
tends to social networks among married and single
students is no different.
5- CONCLUSION
Analysis of various tests conducted on various
factors affecting student’s tendency on virtual social
networks of PNU Shirvan showed that attitudes to
social networks, educate and inform, quality radio
and television programs to increase students'
orientation to social networks and the impact of
leisure and mass media in reducing the tendency of
students to the use of social networks is significant.
The mean orientation to social networks among
boys and girls, urban and rural, married and single,
young and old, low-semester course above is no
different and the effect of education on attitudes to
social networks and the quality of TV and radio
programs was significant difference between
different groups of students in terms of education
level and other variables that affect the trend of
social network-virtual (information and education,
leisure and the use of mass media) does not exist.
