Goody Bags for Refugee Children
This is a terrific project for a small group and especially for children’s groups.
Purchase crayons, games, story books, coloring books etc. Anything that would
be fun for a child of 2 to 9 years would be acceptable. Place the items in a gift
bag. If you would like, you can also make a card welcoming the child to
America! Contact [email protected] to work out shipping or pick up
depending on your location. These bags bring much joy to children who are
waiting in refugee offices in Houston, Texas while their parents take care of
paperwork. They are also some of the very first fun items they receive after a
long journey to a new but strange home. Thank you in advance for helping us
