Contestants not bowling a USBC league in the 2016/17 season
must purchase a $5 Associate Membership prior to bowling.
Handicaps are 90% of 230, 230 & higher bowls scratch. Players
without an accepted average must bowl scratch. Actual league
average counts towards the 840 team cap.
Minimum entering average for maximum handicap is 140 for
men and 130 for women. Players with lower averages will get the
maximum handicap.
Players use their handicap for each event. Example: teammates
add their handicaps together for a team handicap.
Each player uses 1/3 of their handicap, dropping fractions, for
sidepots and brackets.
Only 1 PBA member and only 1 High Roller champ per team.
PBA, PWBA or LPBT National Champs are not eligible.
NEW RULE NO PBA GUESTS – MILITARY PBA MEMBERS ONLY
Accepted Averages – Players use their highest USBC winter
average, of at least 21 games from 2015-16 or 2016-17. Players
may request to use a summer average if no winter average with
minimum 21 games.
Players without a league average in the past 2 seasons may
request to use an average from 2013/14 or 2014/15 with a 10-pin
penalty for each year.
Youth averages cannot be used. USBC Rules 319C & 319D apply.

Players must present proof of age and military status. Picture ID
drivers license or birth certificates will be required for age. The
following will be accepted: (Other forms of ID may be requested
for ID as well.) Active Duty Reserve ID Card; Honorable Discharge
Certificate; VA Disability ID Card;or a DD-214. If you do not have
proper ID, visit: www.archives.gov/st-louis/military-personnel/
standard-form-180.html or contact: National Personnel Records
Center, Military Personnel Records, 9700 Page Avenue, St. Louis,
MO 63132-5100. Both agencies suggest that you allow plenty of

Rerating Onsite –
Tournament bowlers know
that handicap events can attract players that show ability above their
entering league average.
The High Roller staff has been very diligent in “watching” the scoring
of the event and, when necessary, re-assigning a higher average to
those that demonstrate higher ability.
As a protection for the many participants, we will continue to monitor
scores and even create a “watchdog committee”.
Gaining a purposeful advantage over our Military attendees who
have served our country, by using a league average much lower than
ability will not be tolerated.

Since 1982 High Roller events are famous for getting prizes paid as fast and accurately as possible!
All prize checks will be mailed to the individual bowlers by Friday following the tournament. Optional events and Sidepots will be paid
on site the day after that event is completed.
Prize checks will not be issued to anyone without a Social Security number on file, date of birth or has not been properly verified.

There are 2 bowling locations at South Point: the Bowling Center and
the Bowling Plaza.
There are 10 separate squads that you can choose from. Contestants
are advised not to make their travel plans until their squad has been
confirmed.

Prepaid Discounts
HOW TO ENTER

Save $10 per event for prepaying by July 15th
•
Only paid entries will be accepted – no unpaid reservations.
Squad reservations will only be accepted with a $160 deposit.
Teams must be fully paid when squad fills or go on stand by for
that squad or move to a squad that is not filled.
All $160 entry fees can be refunded, by request, with at least
48 hours notice prior to August 7th.
Unused entry fees for optional events are automatically refunded.

It’s not too early to start putting your team together to get the squad
that you want. Contestants who have bowled previous years know that
squads fill quickly! This year, there are more choices so check out the
schedule!

squad times have been confirmed.
When choosing your squad, take in consideration Special Events
you want to participate in.
We need an entry form for each team member even if we have his or
her info from previous years. Team Captains can send them in together
or contestants can send theirs in individually if not convenient for the
Team Captain. If you are sending in your entry form separately, please
note name of team or team captain on your sheet.

At High Roller headquarters, we will maintain a list of players trying to form a team. So if you want to get on a team or if your team needs
a player, feel free to call us. We will have contact info, average and tournament history on many players who have an interest in bowling.
Team Captains – visit the August Sub Board at www.high-roller.com. On the Sub Board, players can get on a team or form their own team.
Classic Rules
Rules include this page, articles in this brochure and all updates
distributed by mail and on site.
Playing Rules – Rules of the August Military Team Classic (AMTC) stated
herein, and those of the USBC will govern all participants. The High Roller
(HR) manager will have the right to resolve all questions and disputes.
All decisions shall be final and binding. Additional squads can be added.
General – Players can only be on 1 original team. Each team consists of at
least 2 that are eligible and a maximum of 2 guests. It is the Team Captain’s
responsibility to find substitutes.
Team Events – HR manager must approve any roster changes.
Prize Money – Each player’s original entry is $165 if paid by credit card but
discounted to $160 for approved check or cash. After deducting lineage fees
and 15% for tournament expense, prize money is returned 100% in cash and
merchandise awards.
Prizes – Prize checks will be mailed to each individual providing all required
information is on file.
300 & 900 Maximums – Whenever handicap is involved, 300 becomes the
maximum game and 900 becomes the maximum series. All scores over that
limit will have the handicap adjusted for 300 in games or 900 in series and
will split the prize.
WANT MORE BOWLING?
Three fun and exciting handicap events are part of the August
Military Team Classic! For contestants only!
Mixed Doubles - Pick your partner and enter now or enter on
site as we are anticipating many others will be looking for a
partner. Entry fee is $40 prepaid or $60 after July 15th per team
with a 1 – 6 ratio for prizes. Unlimited entries, same team can
cash twice, once in top 3.
No Tap – A quick and fun singles event where getting 9 is just
like getting a strike! Scores will be high but that is where the fun
is! Entry fee is $30 prepaid or $40 after July 15th per person
and a 1 in 6 ratio for prizes.
NEW OPTIONAL TEAM SWEEPER – form a new team from
other contestants or bowl again with your current team for a
new prize fund! $120 per team entry fee. All original team rules
apply.
All of these events are in the Bowling Center.
Mystery Score Pays
THOUSANDS!
Bowling Balls – Only balls approved by USBC may be used and must be a
worldwide release.
Tournament Conduct – The HR manager shall have the right to reassign
participants, if for any reason, the AMTC cannot be completed on all or some
of the lanes at South Point, or on the dates drawn in any round. If by fire,
war, weather conditions, gas shortage, water damage, labor unrest, terrorism
acts or threats, mechanical malfunctions, acts of God, etc.,it becomes impossible to conduct the HR and/or companion events, all unused portions of
entry fees shall be returned.
IRS Reporting – It is the tournament’s legal obligation to report an
individual’s earnings (not profit) of $600 and over, including Brackets and
Sidepots. 1099 forms will be issued to those players.
Refunds – All entry fees can be refunded 100% with notice to the HR
manager of at least 48 hours before bowling starts. Once competition begins,
refunds are discretion of the HR manager. Once a player has competed in
any event, including Sweepers, they may not receive a refund for Team,
Doubles & Singles.
Optional Sweepers
Each is handicap, $30 prepaid or $40 after July 15th. 1 in 6 cashing
ratio and for contestants of the AMTC only. All Sweepers are held in the
Bowling Center. Each squad is a separate Sweeper.

squad, a score will be pulled from the Mystery
Score Hat. If you bowled that game in your
2nd game – the pot is yours! We will keep
pulling a game until it is hit each squad! Must be entered prior to bowling any of the main events.
Free Slots Tournament for Ladies only
Pick a time from 11am to 5pm on Thursday and play for free to earn
your share of $1,000 in cash and merchandise! Reservations are not
necessary but you must have a South Point Player’s Card to play. The
Ladies Slots tournament is for Classic contestants only.
