Take the Sand Bar Ferry Bridge across the
Savannah River
Continue straight and follow the signs for SC
Highway 125
Bear right up the ramp onto SC 125 South

Jackson, SC
One mile after passing through the traffic light in
Jackson, turn left at the flashing caution light onto
the Savannah River Site Road 1 (See the inset

To go to ACTL, continue on SRS Rd 1 for
approximately 2.8 miles
Turn left onto Gateway Drive and travel

Take entrance ramp to the left onto I-520 East
toward North Augusta, SC
Take I-520 approx. 7 miles to the first exit in SC,
US 1/78 (Aiken-Augusta Highway)
Turn right at bottom of ramp onto US 1 / 78
(Aiken-Augusta Highway)
Continue on US 1 for approx. 14 miles to the
Aiken Bypass (SC 118)
If you wish to travel to south Aiken:


Turn right onto SC 118 (Aiken Bypass); there is a
Texaco Station on the right
Travel approx. 5.2 miles on SC 118 to SC 19
(Whiskey Road)
Hotels and restaurants are north and south of the
Whiskey Rd./Hwy 19 - Pine Log Rd./Hwy. 302
intersection. SRS/SRNL is south on Whiskey Rd./
Hwy 19 - make a right at the Wendy’s restaurant.
Approx. 10 miles.
If you wish to travel to historic downtown Aiken:

Continue on US 1/Richland Ave for approx. 3.2
more miles to the intersection of US 1/Richland
Ave. and Chesterfield St.
Hotels and restaurants are scattered throughout
the Aiken historic district. SRS/SRNL is south on
Chesterfield St., which turns into Whiskey Rd/Hwy
19. - approx. 12.5 miles.

Take I-20 East from Augusta and cross into South
Carolina, continue for approx. 18 miles
Take Exit 18 and bear right/south onto Hwy 19
Follow Hwy 19 approx. 5.5 miles - Hwy 19 will
become Laurens St.
Turn left at the intersection of Laurens St. and
Richland Ave onto Richland Ave.. You are now in
Historic Downtown Aiken, Hotels and restaurants
are scattered throughout this district.
Go approx. 1/4 mile (2 blocks) on Richland Ave.
to Chesterfield St.
Turn right onto Chesterfield St. and continue
South.
Chesterfield St. becomes Whiskey Rd/Hwy 19
Continue straight, Applebee’s and Holiday Inn
Express will be to your right in approx. 3.5 miles.
Continuing straight for another 1.5 miles will put
you at the intersection of Whiskey Rd. and Pine
Log Road. You are now on the south side of Aiken,
hotels and restaurants are available both north
and south of this location.
SRS/SRNL is straight ahead approx. 10 miles.
After crossing Hwy 278, bear to your right onto
Savannah River Site Road 1 (See the inset map for
the Badge Office and parking). SRS/SRNL is on
the left side of SRS Road 1 in approx. 4.6 miles.
