“The Great Gatsby” Map Project Objective: Create a map of the setting of Fitzgerald’s novel “The Great Gatsby” based on the descriptions given in the novel. Visit Ms. Shaver’s website for a template of what your map should mimic and further instructions. *Your map must include a Key with a quote from the novel to prove your drawing is valid. Remember, your map must be based on descriptions from the novel. II. The sketch of your rough draft must be approved before you may proceed to the final draft which will be on legal sized paper (the descriptions will be due at a later time).This is a QUIZ grade due Monday March 2nd. III. Using various art supplies, illustrate your map in color on legal sized paper (provided by Ms. Shaver). You may also use graphics from the Internet. Make sure your map is colorful, accurate, and that you use your creativity. IV. All areas/locations must be clearly labeled. You may choose to use a legend for identification of smaller locations. V. Your name must be on the front of the map in the lower right hand corner.
