How can we summarize what we learned about the early colonies of North America?
This will be the first project of Unit 3 Project
This one-pager will be due on MONDAY 11/30/12
A “one-pager” is a one page summary of what you have read or learned.
The format is flexible and up to you, however, the whole page MUST BE filled in
It MUST include a combination of pictures and words and it MUST be in color.
Your one-pager must
include information about:
Roanoke
Jamestown
Plymouth
Massachusetts Bay
Use pages 66-73, and your
notes from Lessons 3.1-3.7,
to help you!
Instructions:
1. Split your paper into four different sections and label each section.
Sections: Roanoke, Jamestown, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay
2. Write a summary about each colony.
The summaries should be at least five sentences.
3. Create an essential question about each colony and answer that question.
Example: What happened to the colony of Roanoke?
HINT: Use the checkpoint questions at the end of each section in pages 66-73 to help you.
4. State one main idea about the early colonies and put that in the center of your one-pager.
Think about what they all had in common!
Reminders:
Include at least 2 pictures per section to support your summaries.
The pictures can be drawn, printed from the computer, or cut from magazines.
Your one-pager should be centered around the pictures you include.
FILL ALL OF THE WHITE SPACE ON THE PAGE!
Use lots of color and be creative! 
