BAKER’S NAME
The Friends of the Plain City Public Library is sponsoring this
contest to raise funds for library programs and services. All cookie entries will be sold by silent auction on Saturday, Dec. 6th.
Contest Guidelines:
1. Entries must be homemade and bakers must submit a recipe with a
complete list of ingredients and the source of the recipe if it was not
created by the baker. *We cannot accept entries that require refrigeration or other climate controls for safe consumption. Cookies will be
judged and sold at room temperature.
2. Entries must be dropped off at the Plain City Public Library on
305 W Main St. between 10am and 1pm on Saturday, December 6th.
3. Entries must include 1 dozen cookies arranged on a covered plate or
container that will NOT be returned. Plates or containers will be auctioned off with the cookies.
4. Six additional cookies must be submitted, in addition to the 1 dozen
to be auctioned, for tasting by the judges.
5. All entries must be presented with a completed official entry form.
6. A panel of judges will anonymously judge entries on flavor, visual
appeal and presentation.
7. After judging, all entries will be placed into a silent auction at the
library on December 6th, during “Christmas Under the Clock.” Bidding will start at 3:30pm and end at 7:30pm.
8. Cookie Contest winners will be announced at the close of silent auction bidding. After all successful bids are collected by the Friends of
the Library, the contest winner will be notified and may pick-up their
winnings, equal to 50% of the auction funds collected, at the library
on 305 W. Main St. in Plain City
9. Recipes or recipe sources and publicity photos may be published with
contest results.
