This pattern is written for the Wonder Cut Ruler. The Wonder Cut Ruler must be used when cutting your strips.

Big dogs – 1 yard –112- 99021
Little dogs – 1/4 yard – 112-99041
Bones – 2/3 yard – 112-99061
Crème – 2/3 yard – 160-9845
Maroon – 1/2 yard – 112-9850
Binding – 1/2 yard – 160-9843
Backing – 2-1/2 yards

INSTRUCTIONS:
All dimensions include a 1/4” seam allowance. All seams are 1/4”.
Half-Square Triangle Blocks
With right sides together, sew a 6-1/2 WC bones strip to a #2 crème strip sewing a 1/4” seam down both sides
making a fabric tube. Using the Wonder Cut Ruler, cut into 2 (two) HST’s. Trim tails. Press seam allowance to the
darker fabric. Set aside blocks.
With right sides together, sew a 3-1/2 WC bones strip to a 3-1/2 WC crème strip sewing a 1/4” seam down both sides
making a fabric tube. Using the Wonder Cut Ruler, cut into 3-1/2” unfinished HST’s. Continue with remaining
3-1/2” WC strips. Cut 42 (forty-two). Press to the darker fabric. Set aside blocks.
ASSEMBLY
Sew a 2” x WOF maroon strip to right side of the 18” x 30” large dog fabric.
Sew the 6-1/2” x 6-1/2”small dog squares to the 6-1/2 WC bones/crème HST’s as shown.
Sew the above strip to the quilt center as shown.
Sew a 2” x WOF maroon strip to each side of quilt center. Trim.
Sew the 3-1/2 WC HST’s into strips as shown. Add 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” #1 contrast squares. Sew to outside of quilt
center. Cut 4 (four) 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” squares from left over bone fabric or fussy cut 4 (four) little dog faces for the
corners.
Sew the 4-1/2” X WOF fur strips to the outside of quilt center.
