Hello, My name is Pauline and I'm a french teenage girl. I live with my parents in a little village and I have an older brother. He
doesn't live with us anymore because he is studying in a school far from my house so he has his own apartment. I also can tell
you that I'm shy and I can even seem cold but I'm not, I swear, I'm just shy. However, when my shyness is gone, I'm someone
who laughs a lot. I'm open-minded and I can easily adapt to new people, situations or rules. My best friend says that I'm loyal and
with me, people are confident because they know that I'm not going to judge them. I think I'm the stereotype of a girl: I love to wear
makeup, actually, I always wear makeup, I adore to be well-dressed and have good hair, I enjoy to shop and I like to see my
friends but I also like to watch series. In my mind, I'm rather a good girl in the sense that I don't smoke, I never had trouble with
anyone (probably because I hate conflicts) and I follow rules.
At the moment, I'm on my last year of "lycée" in the scientist section which is actually your "high schools". It means that I have
mainly mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and geology. I still have other classes: English, Italian, philosophy, sport and
history/geography. My favorite classes are English, biology and chemistry. I don't really like mathematics because I don't
understand a lot of things and I don't enjoy sport because I'm not the kind of person that we could call athletic. However, I do sport
outside school. I dance actually. I don't know how to describe the type of dance that I do, it's not like classic dance or hiphop, it's
more like modern dance. This is not high level for competition; it's more for having fun even if in every june we do a performence.
I'm in this dance association since a long time now so I'm one of the oldest girls. That's why since 4 years I get some
responsibilities. In fact, my friend and I have to teach 3 choreographies to another group of girls which are younger than us.
This association organizes other things for example lotto every years, charity event and a "Christmas party for kids" and I go to
help them. Sometimes I have to prepare the room, sometimes I have to make sandwiches or sometimes I have to hand out flyers
and I like it because I enjoy helping and feeling useful.
When I'm not at school or at the dance studio I love to cook, particularly cake or pie or something we call "chinois" in France. The
weekend, I try to see my friends as soon as possible but sometimes, I just want to stay at home and I watch series or movies. I'm
a big fan of series. I watch some series on my own like Teen Wolf, Pretty Little Liars, American Horro Story or Orange Is The New
Black. But I also watch some with my parents for example Game Of Thrones and Breaking Bad. I like to spend times with my
family to go to the cinema or to play games. I love to listen to music. I mainly listening song which are in English. I like Selena
Gomez, Shawn Mesdes, The Vamps, Jack&Jack and a lot of other well-known artists. I'm patient that might be why I enjoy manual
work. For example, I made some decorations for my bedroom.
I guess I have to tell you why I want to come in your country. I want to come in the US for several reasons. First of all, I want to
learn how to speak english because in my opinion, it's the most beautiful language of the world and the most useful. For me, the
best way to learn english is to go to an english-speaking country for several months. Secondly, I want to know another culture
than mine and I'm attracted by the "American way of life" and the best way to learn another culture is to live with people of the
country.
It was some of the best experiences I did in my whole little life because all was beautiful, impressive and great and the people
were very kind, helpful and funny. That's why I choose to come to the US.
I hope you want to know me better and maybe welcomed me as a new member of your family. I apologize for all the mistakes I did
