STEM Spa (Serves Grades 1-2)
Students will engage in STEM activities by creating various products such as homemade hand lotions, sugar
scrubs, bath salts, bubble bath, and other spa essentials. Join us for invigorating and refreshing ways to use
science to relax.
Bumpin’ and Burnin’ in Big Mama’s Kitchen (Serves Grades 1-2)
Hey good looking! What you got cooking? Mmmm! What is that delicious aroma I smell? Oh no, I see Exploding
Popcorn! Watch out! It’s a rolling meatball! Are you hungry, or just down right nosy? Come and see what’s
cooking in Big Mama’s Kitchen. We will read lots of books, and learn math and science while we cook!
Celebrate Good Times (Serves Grades 1-2)
What does your family eat on Thanksgiving? Do you have turkey? Mashed potatoes? Cornbread? But what
about the rest of the world? How do some of the other 7 billion people in the world celebrate their traditions?
Why do we eat special foods during celebrations? Journey around the world and learn about all the interesting
ways that people celebrate. Make sure you bring your appetite!
Fantastic Forces (Serves Grades 1-2)
The world is a place where things are constantly on the move! From kicking a soccer ball, to picking up a
sandwich, to dropping a pencil, force and motion are always at play! Come join us as we embark on a journey

Amazing Works (Serves Grades 1-2)
When you look around what do you see? How do feel? What thoughts do you have? Let’s turn these into
amazing works of art. You will discover ways to express yourself creatively using different artistic techniques.
During this class you will use a variety of tools to demonstrate and celebrate your gifts and talents.
Fairy Tale Solutions (Serves Grades 1-2)
Help the Brother’s Grimm create happy endings for our favorite fairy tale characters. We will use the
engineering design process to design and create solutions for each fairy tale’s obstacles. In Fairy Tale
Solutions, we will design a stronger structure to protect the three little pigs from the big bad wolf, construct a
new bridge for The Three Billy Goats Gruff, and create a parachute for Humpty Dumpty. Our young engineers
will then use their imagination to design their own solution to a fairy tale problem.

acclaimed author. Paint, cut, work in collage, and write your own story in the style of Mr. Carle.

Do, Re, ME, Fa, So, La, Ti! Put yourself in the music as you express yourself through rhythm, movement, and
performance. Create instruments out of common household materials, learn choreographed dances, and
lift your voice to sing!

Working our way toward a F.I.T. USA. Travel with us as we explore food and nutrition awareness,
choreographed fitness routines, yoga, meditation, and more! Learn about the many ways you can get
physically, mentally, and academically FIT!
