NOTICE TO ALL BIDDERS AND PLANHOLDERS
The Bid Documents for the above-referenced Project are modified as set forth in this Addendum. The original Bid
Documents and any previously issued addenda remain in full force and effect, except as modified by this
Addendum, which is hereby made part of the Bid Documents. Vendors will take this Addendum into consideration
when preparing and submitting a bid, and shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided in the
Bid Documents.

The bid submittal time has been changed to Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 2:30pm

The following clarifications are provided as a matter of information to clarify issues raised about the Bid
Documents.

Please provide pricing for the removal of the Main Line piping only. Pricing must be separated out by

floor and black versus galvanized steel. The removal of the Branch Line pricing has been removed from
this scope of work.

The County is requesting the first floor main line pipe Work be completed no later than March 01, 2017.
The Successful Vendor will be required to commence the second and third floor Work in October 2017 and

complete no later than February 1, 2018 unless agreed upon by both parties.

Does the replacement pipe need to be schedule 10 or 40 that is replaced and should it be black steel or

Is sprinkler contractor responsible for all dry wall and ceiling removal and re-install? Will be done by
others.
Is system able to be left out of service? Yes.
Are the existing dry valves staying? Yes.
Will all the office furniture and carpet be covered by others or the awarded contractor? The Successful
Vendor will be responsible for this.
Are the existing ceiling tiles able to be re-installed or does contractor need to replace with new ceiling
tile? Existing tiles will be re installed by others.
Need to qualify corrosion resistant sprinklers. Would recommend White finish. N/A. The scope of work
has been reduced to just the replacement of the Main Line Piping.
Need to advise if a 19' scissor lift which will weigh 3300 lbs with pipe and men is acceptable on the
second and third floor levels. I believe they were used originally. This question will be addressed in
Addendum 2.
The NFPA code requires sprinklers on a dry system that drop to the ceiling to be DRY PENDENT type
when the area is not heated. All of your drop heads are not dry pendent type. They are regular sprinklers
on a return bend pipe arrangement. These areas are not heated. Are we to install the special dry pendent
sprinklers or the same type of sprinkler installed currently? N/A. The scope of work has been reduced to
just the replacement of the Main Line Piping.
