AMSTERDAM INTERNATIONAL WATER WEEK
INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS FOR A CIRCULAR
ECONOMY AND RESILIENT CITIES
Water plays a central part in society’s transition to a
greener economy. The Amsterdam International
Water Week (AIWW) is a forum to exchange ideas
to collaborate towards this green economy.
‘Integrated solutions for a circular economy and
resilient cities’ is the central theme of the 2015
AIWWconference. From 2-6 November 2015,
25,000 international water professionals and
decision makers will share insights, solutions and
new approaches. The AIWW is a platform for new
alliances and fresh ideas for connecting industry,
science, business, policy, and technology. The event
crosses borders between water and sanitation, flood
and coastal management, food and agriculture,
finance, and governance.
The AIWW offers an inspiring combination of
events, including: the AIWW conference, the
renowned Aquatech Trade Exhibition, excursions to
Amsterdam and the Netherlands, the Sarphati
Sanitation Awards, an extensive young water
professional’s programme, and social events.
Let’s make the connection for new ideas. Tomorrow’s
water challenges call for a transition with an
innovative and integrated approach. The AIWW
conference ‘Integrated solutions for a circular
economy and resilient cities’ is the platform for this
discussion. Cities take centre stage in the programme,
which is divided into three sub-themes:
•Urban resilience & adaptation to climate change;
•Urban utilities & the circular economy;
•Sustainable production & industrial response:
reduce, reuse and recover.
Arcadis is proud gold sponsor of this international
symposium and we have been actively involved since
2007. As in previous years we are looking forward to
participating throughout the whole week during this
fascinating water programme. ARCADIS will host and
speak at a number of sessions we hope you
participate in.
