STAR is a local non-profit wildlife volunteer organization to provide professional care to sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. Donations will be gratefully accepted in the Children’s Room between March 1 and April 29. Author/Illustrator Jessie Hartland Saturday, April 15, 2-3 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 7-8:30 p.m. In the spirit of this year’s Long Island Read’s book, Erik Larson’s Dead Wake, EcoPhoto Explorers will explore different shipwrecks from all eras and show what some of these wrecks look like today. There will also be a discussion about the marine life that inhabits these artificial reefs.
