Saturday, May 11, 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm GAME DAY @ your library! Join us for an afternoon of games, cards and good
times! Play one of the many games available, or bring a favorite from home. ALL AGES ARE WELCOME!
Saturday, May 18, 7:30 am – 10:30 am SUMMER READING PROGRAM REGISTRATION BEGINS!!!
There is treasure to be found! -- DIG INTO READING! DIG INTO YOUR LIBRARY!
WPL Librarians Joanna Brazil and Christina Salomon will be at the Rec Center for convenient summer reading program
registration. Children and families may register for the free summer reading program at the front desk at any time after May 18.
What is the Summer Reading Program (SRP) and how does it work? Babies, children, teens
and adults are offered incentives for reading throughout the summer. In addition to prizes for reading, the library hosts a variety
of programs for children of all ages to attend throughout the summer, which are not required as part of the summer reading
program, but are well attended and extremely fun! Everything is free and at your own pace. Join us at the library this
summer and bust through summer boredom. Parents, grandparents and caregivers — please don’t forget! YOU set the
example for reading! Let the kids see you reading-- (children who see adults reading for pleasure are more likely to enjoy
reading as well). Plus, it’s good for your brain and you can earn some prizes yourself! No registration for adults.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR CHILDREN ACTIVE AND READING THIS SUMMER!
