and a new revision created. Please check with the Environmental
Protection Agency or the Local Government that this copy is the
current revision prior to using the contained information in any way

T he s eaward boundary of the eros ion prone area for all local authority area/s to which this plan
relates s hall be defined by the s eaward limit of Queens land waters .
Notes
On land adjacent to coas tal waters the landward boundary of the eros ion prone area s hall be defined as :
a line meas ured 40 metres landward of the plan pos ition of the mean high
water s prings (MHWS ) tide level except where approved revetments exis t,
in which cas e the line is meas ured 10 metres landward of the upper s eaward
edge of the revetment, irres pective of the pres ence of outcropping bedrock; or

the s eaward toe of the frontal dune. (T he s eaward toe of the frontal dune is normally
approximated on aerial photography by the s eaward limit of terres trial vegetation); or
a s traight line drawn acros s the mouth of a waterway between the alignment of the
s eaward toe of the frontal dune on either s ide of the mouth.

in approved canals in which cas e the line of HAT applies , irres pective of the pres ence
of approved revetments or outcropping bedrock.
