The Wave Centre Dominion Road Worthing BN14 8JL Tel: 07775 750 456 January 2014 Welcome back to the New term at Jack in the Box! A special welcome to our new children who are gradually finding their feet. We have a fun term planned including Chinese New Year and Australia Day, so if you have anything from either country we could borrow for displays, please let us know. If you ever have any concerns about your child, please feel free to speak to any of the team at any time. ART BAGS - Please make sure you bring in your child’s art bag each session. Any lost bags will incur a charge of £1. If your family circumstances change or anything happens at home that could affect your child’s behaviour or emotional state, please let us know. It helps us greatly in working with your child. DONATIONS These are always greatly received and come in a variety of forms. All donations are beneficial to your child in many ways. Old uniform - Any proceeds we make from selling second hand uniform go straight back to your child in the form of resources and also help you get cheaper uniform. Snack/tissues/wipes—if you were all able to donate these items once a term it would help us HUGELY . Although most of you get, or will get free funding from the government, the money they give us has not increased in over 4 years but like you our grocery bill has, so any donations will be very gratefully received. This in turn will continue to help us to buy more resources and keep activities fresh and exciting for your children. Lunch boxes: Please make sure that you provide a spoon for yoghurts. Please remember to give your child a drink. (not fizzy) No Peanuts or sweets No skewers. eg. chicken satay ( please take the chicken off the stick) Sickness/Diarrhoea Please note that you must allow 48 hours from the last time your child is sick or has diarrhoea before they can come back to playgroup. Please try to teach your child to have a go at putting their coat on themselves to encourage their independence. Please make sure that ALL children come to playgroup with a coat and wellies and when appropriate, gloves and hats. Please make sure they are all named. All children also need to have a spare change of clothing in a bag on their pegs. We have now totally run out of our own spare clothing as it has gone home with children and not been returned. If your child has had to be changed and has come home in our clothes, PLEASE wash and return these clothes to us ASAP. If any of you do have any trousers, tops, socks or pants that you could donate to our stock of clothes, please bring them in. They would be much appreciated! If we are inundated, please don’t be offended if we can’t take them as we only have so much storage space!
