Valentines Day
February 14th is a special
day for true love and chocolates. What do we know
about Valentine’s Day? Valentine’s Day is a time when
people show feelings of
love, affection and friendship. Valentines day is celebrated in many ways worldwide and starts on February 14th each year.
Many people around the
world celebrate Valentines
Day by showing appreciation
for the people they love
and adore. Some people
take their loved ones for a
romantic dinner at a restaurant while others may
choose this day to propose
and get married. Many people give greeting cards,
chocolates, jewelry or flowers, like red roses to
friends or partners they
admire the most. So, Valentines day is a great way to
spend the night hanging out
with friends and family or
taking your loved one to a
romantic dinner.

Being Honest VS. Lying
Why is it important to be honest instead of lying? There are a lot of reasons why it’s important to be honest.
First, people will see you as an honest
and nice person. People woill trust you
more than others. Also, you’ll have to
face the consequences when people
find out that you were lying.
It’s also very important to not lie
because it could get you into a lot of
trouble It could make you feel guilty
and you could hurt someone’s feelings
by lying. People could think you can do
something you can’t and when they
ask you to do it, you start to tremble.
That’s why it’s important to be honest
and not lie.

GROUNDHOG DAY!
Groundhog day is a popular tradition in
the United States. It happens every
February 2nd. It is believed that if it’s
a cloudy day and the groundhog does
not see his shadow, spring will come
early. If it’s sunny and the groundhog
sees its shadow then retreat back to
the burrow, we will have six more weeks
of winter weather.

The Top 4 Valentines Movies
Don’t you love the holidays? One
of my favorites is Valentine’s Day.
On Valentine’s Day you can watch
movies and eat candy. One of the
movies I like is “When Harry Met
Sally.” The other one is The
“Notebook.” They’re my favorites
because they’re both about love.
My other favorites are “Love” and

“Return To Me.” They are good for

Science Fair
Ms. Vasquez is the Science and Engineering
Fair coordinator for Westside Park Elementary.
I talked to Ms. Vasquez about the Science Fair

the labels they will need, project examples, and
how to present your project appropriately.
Before we talk about the winners, thanks to Ms.
