The South Downs Centre is located at the Northern end of Midhurst opposite the main bus station
and North Street car park.
There is limited visitor parking available on site but parking is available in the North Street public car
park. Parking in this car park is free for one hour, but you are still required to obtain a ticket from
the machine. Other car parks in Midhurst include the Grange Road and Post Office, view the car
park map for more information.
From the North Street car park cross the A286 at the pedestrian crossing and turn right. Carry on
along the pavement until you reach the South Downs Centre pedestrian entrance.
By train
There is no train station at Midhurst. The nearest train station is Haslemere with nearby train
stations also at Petersfield and Chichester. Trains from London Waterloo to Portsmouth usually
stop at Haslemere, which is approx. seven miles from Midhurst.
There are taxi stands at Haslemere, Chichester and Petersfield Stations - a taxi to Midhurst should
take between 20 to 30 minutes.

From the A3/West
Leave the A3 at the junction signposted A272 Midhurst. Follow the A272 to Midhurst for
approximately 9 miles. As you enter Midhurst turn left at the mini roundabout (continuation of
A272) which takes you onto North Street. You will drive past Tesco’s Express on the left and the
Angel Hotel on the right. To park, continue along the road, just past the bus station and turn right at
the mini-roundabout into the car park signposted ‘North Street Car Park’.
From the North
Leave the A3 at junction signed posted A287 (Hindhead crossroads). Travel along the Hindhead
Road towards Haslemere & Midhurst for 2.1miles. Turn right onto Church Road A287. Continue
across the traffic lights onto Sturt Road (A287). This turns into Bell Road (A286). Once at the Tjunction turn right onto Midhurst Road then continue along the A286 until you come to a
roundabout. Turn right (A272) - you will then enter Midhurst. At the next mini roundabout turn left
into the car park signposted ‘North Street Car Park’.
From the East
Follow signs to Midhurst on the A272. Continue along the A272, pass the BP garage in Easebourne
until you come to a roundabout. Head straight ahead - you will then enter Midhurst. At the next
mini roundabout turn left into the car park signposted ‘North Street Car Park’.
From the South
Follow the A286 from Chichester. As you enter Midhurst head straight ahead at the mini
roundabout (left to Petersfield, A272) which takes you onto North Street. You will drive past Tesco
Express on the left and the Angel Hotel on the right. Continue along the road, just past the bus
station and turn right at the mini-roundabout into the car park signposted ‘North Street Car Park’.
