Friendship Long Island Getaway
Getaway with your kayaks or canoes and spend
four nights in a lovely cabin on Friendship, Long
Island. A 40-minute paddle from Bradford Point,
this three-bedroom cabin that sleeps up to six is
equipped with a propane-powered refrigerator,
a gas grill, and a composting toilet. The owners
would take you there on a motorboat, or follow
with your supplies while you enjoy a breathtaking
paddle on Muscongus Bay. Dates in late summer
2013 or summer 2014 to be decided between
owners and the winning bidders.
Reading the Forested Landscape Workshop
This five day workshop, based out of Medomak Family Camp in Washington Maine,
will immerse participants in the process of reading the landscape as a means to forge
a stronger connection to place. A variety of forest, wetland, and mountain communities will be explored in mid-coast Maine including the granite domes of Acadia National
Park. During this ecology workshop, within each community Tom will lead discussions in
geologic history, interpret cultural and disturbance histories from the evidence at hand,
examine plant adaptations, and discuss evolutionary ecology.

telescope as he explains the cosmos. Date
