Frazier is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Lee Frazier Executives. A graduate of Loyola University, Frazier has a master of public health and a master of hospital administration from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Frazier was CEO of St. Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital, Little Rock, Ark., for six years. - Staff report Dan Boren receives Apollo Award OKLAHOMA CITY - Democratic U.S. Rep. Dan Boren was presented the 2012 Apollo Award at the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians fall conference. The award is the highest honor presented to the public by OAOP and recognizes persons or organizations for distinguished service to the visual welfare of the public. David Brewer and Joyce Ardrey were inducted in the OAOP's Pioneers in Optometry Hall of Fame at the conference.- Staff report Dan Boren St. Anthony program receives award OKLAHOMA CITY — St. Anthony's Kidney Transplant program received a Silver Level Transplant Program Award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. St. Anthony's program was recognized based on its performance on post-transplant graft survival rate, transplant rate, and pre-transplant mortality rate after patients are placed on waiting lists. — Staff report Mercy Hospital Logan County adds ER docs GUTHRIE — Mercy Hospital Logan County has recruited three physicians Diane Means, Mark Gregory and Bill Worden - with a combined 65 years of medical experience. Worden will see patients who need - emergency care and will serve the department as medical director. Worden, a Crescent resident for nearly 20 years, earned his bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry and master's degree in education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Since earning his doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Oklahoma State University, he completed his residency and served as chief resident at Integris Southwest Medical Center. He also serves as the team physician for Crescent Public Schools. Gregory, a Crescent High School graduate, has 23 years of experience in emergency medicine, mostly in rural hospitals in Purcell, Idabel, Enid, Woodward and Poteau. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed his residency there. As a Crescent High School junior and senior, Gregory worked at Mercy Hospital Logan County, then Logan Medical Center, as an orderly then as a respiratory tech. Means joins the emergency department at Mercy Hospital Logan County with 18 years of medical experience, 14 of those spent in emergency departments. She is board certified in emergency medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. OKLAHOMA HEART HOSPITAL PHYSICIANS She earned her medical degree from the OU College of Medicine and completed her residency in emergency medicine at the University of Florida Shands of Jacksonville. - Staff report OU Physicians adds staff OKLAHOMA CITY — Joshua Gierman has established his surgical practice with OU Physicians. He has also been named an assistant professor with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Gierman is board certified in general Joshua Gierman surgery and board eligible in vascular surgery. He is also certified in physician interpretation in vascular ultrasound. Gierman completed a vascular surgery fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas. He completed his residency in general surgery at the OU College of Medicine and earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University College of Medicine, New Orleans.
