Whale milk is 40 to 50 percent fat Population Blue Whales have been hunted and that made there population drop from 300,000 to 400,000 down to about 15,000. After we noticed that we had killed a ton of Whales, the world has banned whaling. Now about 3,000 to 4,000 blue whales in the northern hemisphere and 5,000 to 10,000 in the south.
