Matson is still riding towards his Fundraising Goal for the CHF.
Take a moment to visit Nels on his bike ride across America, view media clips of support on his journey, and view

With media attention all across the country, Nels Matson is sure to make a difference in his ride across
America. Nels Matson, who is riding his bike cross country to raise congenital heart defect awareness
and research funding for The Children’s Heart Foundation, is currently riding through Lincoln, Nebraska
on his 21st day out of his month-and-a-half long journey. Matson’s story has resonated with many
throughout the country, providing hope and a future for those affected by CHDs. Many interviews have
been held with Nels including additional pictures to capture these moments along the way.
Starting with Matson’s kick off ride in Santa Monica, California on June 8, 2010 through his endurance to

Matson will complete his expedition July 20th, but until then he continues to connect with CHF
supporters and instill hope along his way. Take a look at the upcoming opportunities to join Matson and

His next major stop will be in Davenport, IA on the 4th of July and will start his ride at 7:00 AM at
the Trek Store in Davenport. Joining Nels in Davenport for the mile is Cassidy Glynn.
Following, on July 7th, Matson will be joined in Chicago by Benjamin Griesmeyer to start his ride
at 6:00AM at the Trek Bicycles on Michigan.
On July 8th, Nels will be riding in memory of Jalynn Velez and Wilson Kelsey starting at 6:00 AM
at 2716 west Mishawaka Ave in South Bend, IN.
On July 13th, Nels starts his ride at 6:00 AM at Paradise Garage in Colombus, OH. Joining Nels in
Colombus for the mile is Adam Thomas.
July 15th, Nels will start his ride at 6:00 AM at REI Pittsburgh, Settlers Ridge. Nels rides this
Pittsburgh mile in memory of A.J. Kahler.
July 19, 2010, Nels starts his ride at 6:00 AM at the Wayne Art Center in Wayne, PA. Joining Nels
on part of his ride is Camden Cheshire.
On July 20th, at 7am and after 43 days on the road, Nels will ride his bike into New York City’s
Times Square! You do not want to miss cheering Nels as he FINISHES his bike ride across
America from Santa Monica, CA. Here he honors Charlie Collado.
