GENERAL INFORMATION
ABOUT THE COURSE
The Course is organised in two parallel sessions, where participants are divided in two groups and alternatively will
have wetlab hands-on sessions and theoretical sessions.
Several surgical techniques will be revised such as trabeculectomy and deep scleroctomy. The focus will be on the
specific surgical techniques for glaucoma and the use of specific devices. Participants will deal with practical case studies
to learn management of rare complications as well as to improve their surgical skills through hands-on sessions and
operative training. The learners will complete a paper questionnaire, which will be handed at the end of the Course.
CME CREDITS
The ISGS Advanced Surgical Wetlab Course is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing
Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an
institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net. The ISGS Advanced Surgical
Wetlab Course is designated for a maximum of 12 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical
specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. Through an
agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians
may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the
process to convert EACCME credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.
The online CME questionnaire and certificate will be available on the Course website www.isgs.info from December
5th, 2016 till January 5th, 2017.
Please note that your registration code, printed on your badge, is necessary to access the CME questionnaire and to
print the certificate.
