General Information
Playing Formats:
In the interest of pace of play, all formats must be approved by the golf course. It is
recommend that a Scramble or Selective Drive format be used.
Outing Types: an outing consist of 16 or more players.



“Full Shotgun Start” requires a golf outing of 84 or more players and will begin play
“early morning” or “early afternoon” depending on the time of year. As example;
Shotgun starts May thru September will be at 8:00 a.m. or at 1:15 p.m.
“Modified Shotgun Start” is an option for groups from 16-80 players, under this format
the course may remain open to regular public play. Public players will not interrupt your
event, we will allow as much space as possible between your groups. Please
understand that this is necessary to make smaller outings economically feasible to our
business.
“Continuous Tee-Times” this format requires all players to begin on the first hole, but
has no restrictions with regards to the time of day, and comes at a cheaper price.
Professional Services:
The staff at The Quarry at Crystal Springs will strive to make the tournament coordinator’s job
as painless as possible. We will be happy to provide all the professional services listed below
and will help provide tournament awards and gifts at very competitive pricing. If your group
spends $400.00 in Tournament Gift Certificates through our pro-shop, we will donate 4 rounds
of golf to your prize pool.




Personalized cart signs, scorecards, and rules sheets.
Score sheets and Tournament Scoring.
Organization of Course contest (closest to pin, Long Drive etc.)
Sponsor Sign placement on course.
If your group is interested in any custom golf balls, equipment, embroidery, then please allow
adequate time to process logos and to allow for production time.
Rental Sets:
Rental Clubs are available for $20.00/set. Limited sets are available, so give us notice if you
need for than a few sets.

Beverage Options
Charitable Organizations/Donate Beverages
Any donated beverages must be delivered to our facility 48 hours prior to the scheduled date of
the event by a reputable distributor. Donated beverages are only allowed for taxexempt/charitable organizations. All donated beverages are subject to a corkage fee, these
fees are listed on the pricing page, these prices include ice, coolers, stocking and delivery onto
the course.
Unlimited Beverage Option: only available to “Full field Shotguns”, this option is for 4.5
hours of unlimited beverages on the course only. Time will start at the beginning of play.
Coolers will be restocked with canned soda, domestic Beer Gatorade and bottled water. No
bags or coolers will be allowed by guests, no products are to leave property. Cost is
$15.00/person.
Drink Tickets: The Tournament Director may purchase “Drink Tickets” in any quantity, which
will be distributed to the players at registration or affixed to their registration packets. A $1.25
ticket can be used for a canned soft drink or bottled water, 2 tickets may be used for a Beer or
Gatorade. The Outing will be billed for the number of tickets sold.
Cash Bar: Each player is responsible for purchasing his own beverages from the Golf-Shop or
from the Beverage cart at regular prices.
BOOKING YOUR OUTING
Making your deposit to hold date:
A deposit of $8.00/player or $500.00, whichever is smaller is due to hold date on the Tee-sheet.
Deposit remains refundable if you meet the requirements for cancellations noted in this packet .
Guarantee and Payment:
1. Your Tournament reservation in our Tee-sheet and the deposit amount that you owe
will be based on the number of players indicated in our original agreement.
2. 10 days in advance of your scheduled date, you must provide The Quarry with a
“Guaranteed number.” If your field shrinks more than 10% of this guaranteed number,
you will be subject to the following penalties.
 100% -90% = no penalty
 89% or less = $20.00/per missing player
Example: If you guarantee 100 players and have 90 players show-up, then there is no penalty.
If you arrive with 80 players you would owe us 10 players x $20.00 = $200.00 penalty.
Cancellation:
Cancellation received by the Quarry 30 days prior to the event will result in 100% refund of
deposit. Cancellation within 30 days of the event will receive a refund of the deposit
contingent upon booking a comparable event on another date. Any cancellation within 14 days
will forfeit all of deposit.
Tournament Director:
As the tournament director, you agree to assume full responsibility for the conduct of the
participants of your group, and any damages as a result of their actions. In no event shall The
Quarry be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages to property.
Weather policy:
The Quarry at Crystal Springs will make rain-out decisions on the day of the event. Events will
be played unless the superintendent or PGA Professional closes the course due to severe
weather, frost, flooding or other circumstances beyond our control. If the course is closed for
any reason, rescheduling of your event will be addressed at that time. Should the golf course
be closed after the event has begun, the following fees apply:






1-3 Holes completed - pays 20% or receives a 18 hole Rain Check
4-6 Holes completed – pays 35% or receives a 18-hole Rain Check
7-9 Holes completed – pay 50% or receives a 9-hole Rain Check
10-12 Holes completed – pays 65% or receives a 9 Hole Rain Check
13-15 Holes completed – pays 80%
16-18 Holes completed – pay 100%
The Greens Superintendent or PGA Professional may reserve that right to restrict golf carts to
“Cart Path Only” due to inclement weather, over seeding and/or any routine maintenance
practices.
