We have an amazing group of staff who have had a great week of training thus far and are pumped up for camp to start next week. We are looking forward to seeing the faces of our many returning campers and welcoming our new campers into the Camp Jaycee family. We have a wonderful program put together once again for this year. The campers will experience swimming, music, Judaica, sports, arts and crafts, nature activities, fieldtrips, theme dress-up days and so much more. Besides just having the best summer ever, our goal is to have every camper develop their self-confidence, learn to get along with their peers, work on problem solving skills, have a chance to develop new interests and skills, and learn to appreciate diversity and nature all in a fun and creative setting. Please make sure that your child comes to camp in closed toed shoes daily and not in sandals or crocs so they can participate fully in all of our exciting, active activities. CIT–LIT CIT/LIT Director: Terry Schein Welcome all! I’m looking forward to starting our summer of fun and learning. Please arrive at 8:45 a.m. on Monday June 19. We will meet at the drop off / pick up area by the tent at the back of the JCC Eastgate Mall entrance where I will be signing you all in. Please bring a dairy lunch ( no meat). Make sure that you wear closed toed shoes, no sandals or flip flops. You will receive your camp T-Shirt on the first day and you are expected to wear them when you join your groups on a field trip. Just to re-cap we will be doing all our activities in the morning, and in the afternoon you will be assigned to your individual camps. Each of you will have the opportunity to choose which camps you would like to be in. Please note that we will not be able to accommodate your requests all the time but each week you will have a new camp. Let me know if any one of you play a musical instrument such as guitar, drums, etc. If you have any outside appointments during camp hours and need to leave early you will need to give me a written letter from your parents and they will be able to pick you up at the camp office.
