FROM THE DIRECTOR
Director: Sandy Siperstein Rafner
We are so happy to welcome you to Camp Jaycee. We have an amazing group
of staff who have had a great week of training thus far and are pumped up for
camp to start next week. We are looking forward to seeing the faces of our
many returning campers and welcoming our new campers into the Camp Jaycee
family. We have a wonderful program put together once again for this year.
The campers will experience swimming, music, Judaica, sports, arts and crafts,
nature activities, fieldtrips, theme dress-up days and so much more. Besides
just having the best summer ever, our goal is to have every camper develop their
self-confidence, learn to get along with their peers, work on problem solving
skills, have a chance to develop new interests and skills, and learn to appreciate
diversity and nature all in a fun and creative setting. Please make sure that your
child comes to camp in closed toed shoes daily and not in sandals or crocs so
they can participate fully in all of our exciting, active activities. Please feel free
to call us at the camp office if you have any questions or concerns regarding
camp at (858) 362-1132. Also please feel free to use our camp communication
message line (858) 362-1113. The message line will be checked twice a day and
we will return your call in 24 hours (please contact the camp office if you need
immediate attention). We are excited about our summer and look forward to the
great experiences that we will all share.
Finally, we are excited to build on our Camp Jaycee alumni program that will
include networking opportunities, a FB page, alumni attire and events.

Camp Jaycee Feeling-2017 Camp Song
(Cut to the feeling) Carly Rae Jepson
Lyric Adapted for Camp Jaycee by Cara Freedman
VERSE 1:
Two thousand, seventeen is real
Yeah- now it’s time, the summer’s ON!
Yeah- now it’s time- the summer is ON!
And so excited’s how I feel
And so excited’s what we want
At Camp Jaycee, Camp Jaycee, baby
We are the main attraction, all of us are stars
Just like ah, ah-ah, ah-ah-ahh
Chorus:
I wanna sing from my heart with my new friends
I wanna dance on Shabbat and not be alone
I got that Camp Jaycee feeling, oh yeah
I got that Camp Jaycee feeling, oh yeah
I wanna play Ga-Ga, play, hoops, and soccer
I wanna surf, wanna swim, be a rocker
I got that Camp Jaycee feeling, oh yeah
I got that Camp Jaycee feeling, oh yeah
VERSE 2:
Can’t wait for late nights, all those great nights, awesome field trips
This is on, can’t make it stop, Camp Jaycee, we’ve got
We’ve got each other- we’re like sisters, we’re like brothers
You’re like fa-mi-ly to me, let’s get real baby
We’re friends forever let’s get moving arm in arm
And let’s just ah, ah-ah, ah-ah-ahh
Bridge:
Hey! Woo!
Want to learn new trends- well, we do it everyday (everyday)
Hang out with my friends- we do it everyday
Want to learn new trends- well, we do it everyday
Hang out with my friends- we do it everyday
Everyday, everyday, everyday, everyday Ah ah ah ah ah
Chorus 3:
I wanna sing from my heart with my new friends
I wanna dance on Shabbat and not be alone
I got that Camp Jaycee feeling, oh yeah
I got that Camp Jaycee feeling, oh yeah
I wanna play Ga-Ga, play, hoops, and soccer
I wanna surf, wanna swim, be a rocker
I got that Camp Jaycee feeling, oh yeah
I got that Camp Jaycee feeling, oh yeah
I wanna sing from my heart
I wanna dance on Shabbat (oh-oh, oh-oh-oh)
I got that Camp Jaycee feeling (I got that Camp Jaycee feeling)
I got that Camp Jaycee feeling (I got that Camp Jaycee feeling)
