NEISA Women’s Championship Jerry Reed Trophy Brown University/Edgewood Yacht Club Cranston, RI April 22-23, 2017 NOTICE OF RACE 1. RULES 1.1. This regatta will be governed by the current Racing Rules of Sailing (2017-2020), including Appendix D, the Procedural Rules (PR) and Class Rules for Intercollegiate Sailing Competition, and the NEISA Rules and Regulations, except as any of these are modified by these Sailing Instructions. 1.2. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Saturday 1030 Report Time 1045 Competitors Meeting ASAP First Warning Signal Sunday 0930 1000 1500 Report Time First Warning Signal No Starting Signal After NEISA Women’s Awards to follow FORMAT A single round robin of 17 races is scheduled. Competitors will switch boats after every two races. A-Division will sail FJs on Saturday and Z420s on Sunday. B-Division will sail Z420s on Saturday and FJs on Sunday. 4. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS 4.1. Sailing Instructions will be available on Tech Score and posted on the Official Notice Board inside the Brown Classroom. 5. 5.1 ICSA REPRESENTATIVE Stan Schreyer will serve as the ICSA Representative. 5. BOATS & EQUIPMENT 5.1. FJs and Z420s will be provided for all competitors. 6. SAFETY 6.1. At the discretion of the Regatta Chairman, dry suits or wet suits may be required. Notice will be given orally and on the Official Notice Board on the morning of each day of competition. 7. COACHING 7.1. PR 19 will apply. Powerboats will be provided with one coach per team allowed on the water. Coaches must bring their own lifejacket. 8. VENUE SPECIFIC INFO 8.1. Drinking water is not available at the Edgewood Yacht Club so please bring your own.
