Usted se embarcará en Gamboa, donde inicia el recorrido del Lago
Gatún para llegar a las Esclusas de Pedro Miguel en donde la
embarcación bajará 9 metros, atravesando el famoso Corte Culebra,
seguiremos navegando hasta las Esclusas de Miraflores en donde
descenderemos18 metros para finalmente llegar al Océano Pacífico.
Después de una travesía escénica por pueblos y pequeñas
montañas, llegará al pintoresco pueblo del Valle, situado al oeste de
la ciudad de Panamá, ubicado en el cráter de un gran volcán inactivo.
Adentrándonos al cráter, haremos un recorrido por encima de sus
orillas para observar los paisajes espectaculares de esta zona
montañosa. El Valle, conocido como la tierra de la eterna primavera,
es un pueblo tranquilo, rodeado de frondosos bosques y picos con
frescos riachuelos. Situado a 1000 metros sobre el nivel del mar, goza
de un clima fresco y agradable que le llevarán a visitar jardines
botánicos, la cascada El Macho y el zoológico El Níspero.

You will depart from Gamboa where the trip along the Gatun Lake
begins, from there we will go to the Pedro Miguel Lock where the boat
will drop 9 meters cruise through the famous Culebra Cut. We will
continue sailing until we arrive to the Miraflores Locks and descend 18
meters to finally reach the Pacific Ocean.
After a scenic drive through the rural villages and rolling green hills
west of Panama City we will arrive to the picturesque town of El Valle,
nestled in the crater of a giant extinct volcano. To enter the crater, we
will pass over its edge with spectacular views over this fertile
mountainous area. Located 3.280 Feet above sea level, El Valle enjoys
a fresh and cool climate and is known as the land of eternal spring.

Durante esta excursión, usted visitará Las Esclusas de Miraflores y
vivirá la experiencia de ver la operación diaria del Canal de Panamá,
octava maravilla del mundo. Luego haremos un recorrido por la
antigüa ciudad denominada el Casco Antiguo, llena de historia y
hermosas edificaciones coloniales, para finalizar en la moderna y
vibrante Ciudad de Panamá.
El día comienza con un recorrido en tren por los márgenes del Canal
de Panamá donde la naturaleza y los paisajes hacen que el recorrido
de una hora sea una experiencia llena de conocimiento de la
impresionante ingeniería humana y las bondades del entorno
natural que la rodean. Una vez en la ciudad de Colón, la historia se
llena de colorido y riqueza cultural donde la influencia afro-caribeña
es predominante. Visitaremos las Exclusas de Gatún en donde la
ingeniería humana una vez más se manifiesta y se alterna con la
historia de nuestros antepasados al momento de la conquista y
búsqueda de un camino al Océano Pacífico.
Monos capuchinos, osos perezosos, iguanas verdes, tucanes y
termitas son algunas de las especies que podrá ver desde las
góndolas del único Teleférico de Panamá; visitaremos las
exhibiciones ecológicas de flora y fauna (Orquidario, Mariposario,
Acuario y Serpentario) y finalmente abordaremos un bote que
recorrerá el laberinto de islas del Lago Gatún, con destino a Isla
Monos.
Nuestra aventura comienza con un paseo a lo largo del río Chagres
en los tradicionales cayucos tallados a mano por los Emberá. Al
llegar a la aldea los Emberá nos recibirán con danzas y música
dando una demostración de sus rituales místicos y conocimientos
asombrosos de plantas medicinales y de otros remedios naturales.

During this tour you will visit the Miraflores Locks where you will
experience the daily operations of the Panama Canal, the Eighth
Wonder of the World, after this amazing experience you will visit and
walk through the old part of the city called Casco Antiguo full of history
and wonderful colonial buildings, we will end the tour visiting the
vibrant and modern city of Panama.
You will be taking the train to enjoy the view along the Panama Canal,
and upon your arrival to Colon, our transportation will be waiting for
you at Colon Train station in order to continue with the tour. Experience
the history and nature of the Isthmus of Panama, from one of its first
fortifications on the Caribbean coast, through the grueling times of
building the Panama Railroad and Canal through its rainforests and
swamps up until today’s modern crossroads of cultures and trade! We
will continue to the area where the Gatun Locks are located through a
green landscape where the “campesinos” (Spanish for farmers) ride
their horses and tend their cattle.
Capuchin monkeys, sloths, green iguanas, toucans and termites are
some of the species that you will see from the gondolas of the only aerial
tram of Panama. We will visit the flora and fauna ecological exhibits
(orchid greenhouse, butterfly house, aquarium and serpentarium).
After that we will get aboard a boat to travel around the numerous
islands of Gatun Lake on our way to the Monkey Island.
Our adventure begins with a leisurely boat trip along the Chagres River
in traditional Embera’s hand-carved canoes. Once we arrive to the
village the Embera will welcome us with music and dances and will give
us a demonstration of their mystic ritual and their amazing knowledge
of medicinal plants and other natural remedies.
