Read a couple of character/setting descriptions-focus on the strategies for describing character’s and settings. What do you notice about the language choices? What effect does the language choice have on the reader? 2. Examine and identify features of a fairy tale story. 3. Identify the voice through content, language punctuate and sentences of match reports-use of punctuation 4. Write descriptions of a good or evil character from sleeping beauty. 2. Create own version of a classic fairy tale. 3. Explore the style, audience and purpose of a puppet show script and perform to parents (film on ipads). Focus on language and different voices for different characters. 4. Collect and evaluate the success of the ways in which characters are described and used to engage the reader in a story. Struggle of good and evil. 5. Write own fairy tale with a modern amusing twist. 6. Create their own instructions to make a red hen out of card.
