Carbon dioxide is found in the air.

It gets there from:

volcanoes erupting

burning fossil fuels

animals


Animals inhale (breathe in) the Oxygen
given off by plants.

Animals go through the process of
cellular respiration in which their cells
use the Oxygen in the blood and dispose
of the Carbon Dioxide.

Animals then exhale the Carbon Dioxide
as waste.
