Tara Albrecht
Hi guys! I'm Tara! I'm a junior here at Leeds studying management. I lived in Will Vill my freshman year
(woohoo!) and was an active part of my hall council in Williams Village North. I was born and raised in Utah,
but have since lived in Colorado and Virginia. For now, I'm proud to call Aurora, CO my home! I was in the
P2P program as a mentee and I couldn't be happier to be in it now as a mentor. I love reading, skiing, and
baking. I absolutely love Boulder and I couldn't be happier to let you know that you have chosen one of the
best cities in the world to go to college in! I look forward to meeting you guys and being a great resource for
y'all in the fall!
Shannon Atherton
Hi I am Shannon and I’m from the Bay Area of California (Los Gatos). I am a sophomore here at Leeds with
an open option major but swaying towards finance. On campus, I am developing a campus safety app
collaborating with our safety department and CUPD. Outside of CU I am a world championship Irish dancer,
love to bake, and am extremely organized. I love CU as a whole but getting involved in the Leeds community
has been a very big part of my success here on campus and would love to share my experience and
knowledge with new freshman!
Casey Bergeron
My name is Casey Bergeron and I am a sophomore at Leeds! I love life and like to think that I am a really
happy person. I am from Highlands Ranch, Colorado and love everything about where I live. I am a huge
documentary and movie junkie. I am obsessed with travel, and have been to over 15 countries since I was
13. Music is my second language, and I listen to all different genres. I like to document nearly every minute
so I’m a huge camera and social media nerd. I am also a Leeds Ambassador and am involved in the Young
Alumni Mentoring program in Leeds. I am currently undecided, but I am leaning towards Marketing or
Management. I love everything about Leeds and CU, and I can’t wait for an amazing semester! Go Buffs!
Amanda Capozelli
Hi! I am a junior studying Marketing and Operations Management as well as Chinese! I go to lots and lots of
concerts and photography and snowboarding are my hobbies.
Sarah Chappelear
I am currently an open option business major but am planning to major in operations management with a
certificate in international business in three years! I am involved in the Leeds human resources and
marketing clubs. I am also a member of the McNeill academic program where I will also be a mentor in the
fall. My hobbies are skiing, snowboarding, riding horses, hiking, camping, concerts and all other outdoor
things!
Garett Clay
Hi, my names Garrett Clay and I am a junior here in Leeds. I grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado just an
hour south of Boulder. I’ve been playing hockey and tennis all my life and am also a huge
Broncos/Avalanche fan. In my free time I love to ski, in the winter, and golf in the summer. I’m also a
member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity here on campus. I have declared an emphasis of Finance and am
currently interning at a capital management firm in Denver. Go Buffs!
Taylor Craven
I will be a junior at Leeds in the fall of 2014. I am currently studying HR management & operations
management. I have recently decided to pursue a minor in ethnic studies because I love the faculty in that
department here on campus and I think it will compliment my degree very well. I was born and raised in
Colorado but absolutely love to travel. Being outdoors is one of my favorite things to do, and you can always
find me hanging out with friends. I think Red Rocks is the greatest place on Earth, especially to see a concert
– I am an avid show go-er. I am very invested in my education and make it my top priority to do well in
school. Mostly, I am just your average fun-loving girl living life to the fullest on one of the best campuses in
the U.S.

My name is Liz Cross and I am currently an accounting and finance major at CU. I am a dedicated and
hardworking student who also loves to have fun. I am a member of the CU Freestyle ski team, the National
Society for Collegiate Scholars, and the CU finance club. Also, last semester I studied abroad in Christchurch,
New Zealand and had the time of my life.
Emily Davies
Hey hey! My name is Emily Davies and I’m from the great city of Chicago living it big out here in Boulder. I’ll
be a sophomore this year majoring in Operations Management, but aside from classes I love hiking, running,
boating in the Ozarks and am a huge fan of music fests and concerts! Shine bright like a diamond and sko
buffs!
Jill Delman
My name is Jill Delman, and I’m a junior from Portland, Oregon. I am studying Management with a
concentration in HR, I also plan to get a certificate in Peace & Conflict Studies and a Business of Sports
certificate. I love sports and being active. I am the treasurer of the Club Tennis Team here at CU and
participated in Intramural sports. I am also the treasurer of the Society of Human Resources Management
(SHRM) a business club within Leeds. I am involved with Greek life in my sorority Kappa Alpha Theta. I
absolutely love CU and Boulder because they’re so many opportunities and different activities. It is a great
place for skiing, hiking and a lot of outdoor activities.
Abby Dines
Hi my name is Abby Dines and I am a junior majoring in marketing and management. I am involved in the
Professional Mentorship Program, as well as various leadership positions in my sorority. I am from
Highlands Ranch, Colorado and I love to do outdoor activities such as hike and play soccer, as well as watch
sports in my free time.
Julia Donahue
Hi Baby Buffs! My name is Julia and I am a senior here at Leeds. Time has flown by! I was a mentee in P2P
when I was a freshman and loved it! You made the right choice coming to Boulder and picking Leeds. I’m a
marketing major pursuing a certificate in socially responsible enterprise. Outside of school, I serve on the
executive board on Panhellenic as the Director of Finance (that means I’m also in a sorority), a Leeds
Ambassador (I give tours), and have been working in the Mentoring Office. Last summer I studied abroad in
Paris and this summer I’ll be interning in New York City for NBC! Can’t wait to meet you!
Thomas Duggan
I'm Tommy Duggan and I'm a sophomore. I'm from Broomfield, CO and my major is Business-Undecided
right now, but I'm leaning toward finance. I like to play basketball, fish, hike, climb Fourteen’ers and
basically anything “Colorado”. I'm also a huge Colorado sports fan, or at least until the Broncos ripped my
heart out and the Nuggets stomped on it. At CU, I'm part of the Leeds Scholars, work for the Office of Parent
Relations, volunteer for the Conference on World Affairs, and yes, I am an intramural champion. I also got a
4.0 freshmen year so I must have done something right and I'd love to share study tips with you as well as
help you get involved. I look forward to helping you make this year your best yet!

I am originally from Wisconsin and have fallen in love Boulder and the state of Colorado. I love learning

Hi there! My name is Katie and I’m a junior studying accounting. I’m from Parker, Colorado and I wouldn’t
trade going to CU for the world! I have played competitive volleyball for 10 years and continue to play on
the CU club women’s volleyball team. I am also involved in Leeds Ambassadors and this summer I am
working my dream internship at Make-A-Wish Colorado! I can’t wait to meet all of you and I hope you’ll

Hey there baby Buffs! My name is Layna Furze and I’m currently a Senior majoring in Accounting and
perusing the Entrepreneurship Certificate. I’m also a member of Beta Alpha Psi, which is the honors
organization for Accounting and Finance students. I’m from Highlands Ranch, CO, but I’ve also lived in
Minnesota and Massachusetts. I love to do anything outside, including hiking, running, playing soccer,

semester abroad in Barcelona, Spain. Studying abroad was one of the most incredible experiences of my life

Mingnan Guan
I am an international student from Bejing China. I am currently studying accounting. I really want the
chance to be a mentor to US students because I am up for the challenge. I will devote myself 100% to this
program because I think it is very valuable. I’m a very easygoing and outgoing person. I enjoy talking and

I'm from Denver, Colorado and am a junior at Leeds studying operations management and the real estate
certificate program. I'm a member of the Real Estate Club here at Leeds. My interests and hobbies include

My name is Leah Hase, and I’m a junior studying Information and Operations management. I currently work

I am a dedicated CU student who is passionate about my studies. I am involved in the Finance Club through
the Leeds School of Business as well as a current intramural league hockey player and an intramural league

Lindsey Huttrer
Hello! I am a Sophomore pursuing Marketing as my area of emphasis as well as a certificate in Global
Studies and a Spanish Minor. I am originally from Vail, Colorado and an avid outdoor enthusiast! Besides
skiing and hiking I love to play volleyball and run. I am the oldest of 8 siblings and very social! Over the
summer I traveled to Paris, France with the First Year Global Experience program through Leeds. I hope to
continue my travels abroad throughout the remainder of my college career. I play for the CU Women’s Club
Volleyball Team and I am also a member of a Sorority on campus! I can’t wait to meet all of you future

real estate certificate. I spent my summers in Michigan growing up and I love to fish and be around boats

I’m a Junior from Fort Collins, Colorado studying Accounting and Marketing. I enjoy watching and playing all
sorts of sports, and spend most of my summers playing golf. I’m very involved at CU and in the Boulder
Community. I am a member of the Professional Mentorship Program, Student Ambassadors, and I volunteer
at the Family Learning Center every week. I’ve had a great experience at Leeds and would like to ensure that

Hi everyone! My name is Erin Kelley and I'm from a small town right outside of Houston, TX called The
Woodlands. I am currently a senior at Leeds and I am studying Finance with a certificate in Real Estate. I am
also a member of NSCS where I get to do various work for nonprofits outside of school. This is my 4th year
in P2P; I started out as a mentee just like you! I love meeting new people and I am so excited to hopefully

could be closer to the mountains. I love skiing more than anything and playing outside/enjoying the

Anthony Levy
My name’s Anthony, I play guitar, and I can’t grow a beard to save my life. I skydive, snowboard, and pretty
much every other board sport for that matter. I like long walks on the beach, frolf, and I own/run my own
non-profit called Technology Bridges (tBridges) where we are bridging the generations through technology
education. I’m an marketing major with a certificate in International Business. I’m from St. Louis, Missouri,

My name is Lucas Dan and I am a Senior in the Leeds School of Business. I am currently pursuing an
Information Management major and plan on graduating in May 2015. I enjoy traveling (I studied abroad in
London last semester), hiking, politics, current affairs, sports (playing and watching), reading, movies, music,
and binging a questionable amount of TV shows. I hope to pursue a career with an organization that has a

Carleigh Maloney
Hi Future Buffs! My name is Carleigh Maloney and I am a senior from Santa Barbara, CA. I’m a double
degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing and Journalism with an emphasis in Advertising (as well

had the opportunity to travel all around Europe! At CU I am a member of a co-ed professional business

Hi everyone! My name is Katie Moore and I am a senior studying Accounting and pursuing a certificate in
leadership. I am originally from Austin, Texas but consider Colorado my home. I love everything that
Colorado has to offer and am a big fan of spending as much time as I can in the mountains either
snowboarding or hiking. I believe CU Boulder to be the best school in the nation and am obsessed with this

Brian Newman
Hi, my name is Brian Newman and I’m a Junior in the Leeds school of business. I’m currently a finance major
pursuing both a minor in economics as well as an entrepreneurship certificate. I grew up in a small
mountain town outside of Boulder called Nederland. I spend most of my time outdoors hanging out with
friends and listening to music. I play a variety of sports, but my favorite two are skiing and golf. My favorite
activities in Boulder include hiking, lawn golf, tossing a Frisbee, and of course watching the Buffs win. I’m
very excited to be a part of this program and meet my new mentees.
Drew Noolas
My name is Drew Noolas and I am a senior here at Leeds. I am doing a dual emphasis in Operations and
Information Management. I was born and raised in Boulder, CO, so I am very familiar with the city and I
would not want to be going to school anywhere else in the world. I am the youngest of three boys in my
family and all of us have gone to CU. I went to Boulder High School where I played baseball, basketball, a
season of football, and golf. If I am not hanging out with my friends or family I am probably doing something
active. This is my third year as a P2P mentor and I hope to continue to improve as a mentor so that I can

My name is Justin and I’m a junior at Leeds and am majoring in marketing. I’m from California and lived in
the Los Angeles area for all of my life. I love to travel and spend time outside whether it’s hiking, skiing, or
just hanging out with friends while enjoying the nice weather. I also really like music, funny movies, and
Chipotle. In addition to Peer2Peer, I’m involved in Greek life here at CU. I want to help make your time here

Jacob Pauly
Hey, I’m Jake! I am a Sophomore at CU and I am studying Finance in the Leeds School of Business. I am from
Highlands Ranch Colorado and I came to Boulder because of the gorgeous campus, great business, school,
and because it’s in the most beautiful state! I am a diehard sports fan, and I love cheering on my Buffs and
other Colorado sports teams (except CSU)! I am involved in a campus ministry called the Navigators, I love
to workout at the rec, play basketball, watch TV, and hang out with friends!
Madeline Peterson
I was recommended by BCOR Prof Beth Cross. I earned an A in BCOR 1010 and was part of the Stampede
Leadership Program in the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year. I have recently been to Cuba and I love
being outside, traveling, and sports.
Emily Pierce
I’m a sophomore at Leeds and plan on studying marketing. I’m from Highlands Ranch and am involved in
CU Greek life (Alpha Phi). I’m also a member of the Best Buddies organization at CU. I look forward to
joining many more clubs and organizations at CU. I love spending time with my friends and family, and love
to be outdoors. When I’m not studying, I enjoy being social with my friends, shopping, hiking, and eating of
course! I have lots of school spirit and attend many of the CU sporting events. I love trying new things and
being adventurous. I love animals and my two dogs, Minnie and Milo, are the two things that I miss most
about living at home!
Megan Porter
My name is Megan Porter and I am from Phoenix, AZ. I am currently a sophomore at Leeds and plan to
double major in Marketing and HR Management and work towards a certificate in International Business. I
am involved in Greek Life and in my free time I like to go hiking and skiing. I also love to travel and hang out
with my friends and family. In the future my dream job would be to work in Public Relations.

I am a very outgoing and an energetic person! I am from Southern California, love the beach and mountains,

Hey my name is Graeme Rothe! I am from Southern California and am a Senior Marketing Major at CU.
Although Southern California is great, I love the mountains and never want to leave Colorado! I currently am
the president of the Club Water Polo team, am part of the CU American Marketing Association (CUAMA),
and am a Marketing Intern at a software company in Denver called GutCheck. I also was the previous
Marketing Operations Intern at Rally Software in Boulder I love to do pretty much anything outside. I mainly

Hey guys, my name is Jason Schira and I'm a senior from Niwot, CO. I'm majoring in marketing with a minor

Phi. I love being outdoors in beautiful Boulder as well as spending time with friends and traveling when I
can! The last three years at CU have been unforgettable and I cannot believe I am senior already! I envy all
of you going into your freshman year and cannot wait to meet all my new mentees!
Rachel Speck
I am a sophomore at Leeds. I am a native born Virginian, but have lived in Colorado since I was three. I love
to snowboard in the winter and enjoy all the other wonderful aspects that Colorado has to offer. I am
currently involved in Greek life and love it. I am looking forward to getting more involved in the business
school as I continue my education.
Julia Spee
Hey baby buffs! My name is Julia and I am a sophomore and Marketing major at the Leeds school of
Business. I’m from the great city of Seattle, but love living in Boulder. Like most college students, I enjoy
playing sports, being outside, traveling, and the occasional Netflix marathon. Think of me as a mentor that
doubles as a friend, I’m here for you for almost anything! I can’t wait to help you through your first year at
CU!
Ross Thornton
Hi! My name is Ross Thornton and I am a junior finance major at Leeds. I am originally from Kansas City but
have been traveling to Colorado my whole life. I love sports and am a huge fan of CU football and
basketball. I am also a student athlete here at CU on the golf team. I enjoy spending a lot of my time outside
either golfing, hiking, fishing or playing with my dogs. I look forward to working with the mentorship

Joanna Toro
Hi! My name’s Joanna. I was born in Los Angeles, California and lived in Washington before moving to
Aurora, Colorado at the age of five. I graduated from Grandview High School in Aurora and I’m a junior here
at CU, majoring in Marketing. I am a very easy going person, I get along with everyone and I love meeting
new people! I was in P2P my freshman year and I loved the program and my mentor. I hope to give you guys

Teddi Tostanoski
My name is Teddi Tostanoski and I am going to be a fifth senior at the University of Colorado this coming
fall. At the Leeds School I am pursing a degree in marketing, but I am also majoring in studio arts with an
emphasis in photography. I grew up in Colorado, but transferred in from the university of Puget Sound. This
summer I interned at Canon in New York, and I hope to go into digital marketing and graphic design after I
graduate. Some fun facts about me include that I took Mandarin for 5 years, I have a hedgehog and I love
Mexican food!
Nik Treece
Hey everyone my name is Nik Treece. I am a senior studying marketing and HR management. I am a very
outgoing person who loves meeting new people. I really enjoy the outdoors, sports, and hanging out with
friends. I am currently the president of the Athletic Business Club and have been involved in various other
clubs and events. I have loved my time so far here at Leeds and I look forward to meeting you helping you

August Truesdale
Born in Missouri but hailing from the Bay Area in California, I have a multifaceted personality. I enjoy skiing
more than anything – as well as hanging out with friends – but equally as important are my successes within
the LEEDS School of Business. As the motto goes: play hard, work harder. Currently, I am a member of Phi
Kappa Tau and have committed myself to those around me as well as equally committing myself to learning
and fostering knowledge and growth through the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Nicholas Tuttle
My name is Nicholas Tuttle and I am originally from Denver, CO. I went to Cherry Creek High School and I
love to play sports; especially basketball, volleyball, and soccer. I am a junior at Leeds. One of my favorite
things to do is go to the mountains whether it is skiing in the winter or hiking fourteen thousand feet peaks
in the summer! I love camping and being outdoors with my friends. I am also a brother in the professional
business fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi, and an interesting fact about me is that I have been skydiving.

Hi everyone! My name is Lexie Urratio and I’m from Mission Viejo, CA. I am a senior studying Human
Resources Management here at Leeds. I love all sports, being active and spending time with my friends
because they mean the world to me! I am also involved with the Greek community here at CU and
absolutely love it! I’m really outgoing, talkative and love meeting new people so get to know me! I look

Asher Vandevort
Hi, my name is Asher and I am currently a Junior at Leeds. I am studying Finance and Economics with a
minor in Math and pursuing a certificate in Quantitative Finance. I serve on the Leeds Student government
and am a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity. I also work as a photographer for the sports
teams at CU and enjoy running and biking.
Sasha Veytsman
My name is Sasha Veytsman and I am a senior Marketing major in the Leeds School of Business. I've been in
P2P for the past three years, first as a mentee and then as a mentor. Originally from New Jersey, I have
found a new love for my home in Colorado as well as CU; while I still understand the difficulty of being so far
from home. I enjoy being outdoors and going to all the awesome concerts Colorado has to offer. I'm super
excited for the upcoming school year and to meet all the incoming buffs!

Hi! My name is Britney and I am a sophomore deciding between majoring in management or marketing. I
was born in Texas, but moved to Colorado in 1st grade, so I have basically grown up here my whole life. I am
energetic, outgoing, and love to be around my friends and family. My hobbies are skiing, snowboarding,
hiking, music, and food. I love cooking and going out to eat. I am in a sorority and I was also in the Leeds

Hello! My name is Lucas Wafelbakker and I am from Morgan Hill, California. I am a senior studying finance.
Additionally, I love the outdoors, snowboarding, hiking, and camping. When I am not out enjoying the
outdoors, I find a great interest in researching and reading about finance and the financial markets.

My name is Natalie and I’m a sophomore at Leeds. My area of emphasis is Accounting or Finance (I haven’t
decided yet). I’m originally from Colorado and in my spare time, I’m either Nanning for a family here in
Boulder or enjoying the beautiful outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer!
Megan Wuebbolt
Hey! My name is Megan Wuebbolt and I am a junior in the business school. I'm from Western NY and came
to CU not knowing a single soul. I am one of four girls, yes four, and were all a year apart. Let’s just say my
family could never go on vacation during basketball season because then half the team was gone! I was a
mentee my freshman year and had a great experience! I love to snowboard, ski, play soccer, and hike. I'm
very outgoing and try to get involved in every! I love CU, like I'm legitimately obsessed, and I hope you will

J.D. Yaklich
My name is J.D. Yaklich and I am a senior marketing major here at CU. I am from Englewood, CO so I didn’t
have to travel far to enjoy the Boulder sunshine and great education CU provides. This is my second year
mentoring with Peer2Peer and I am very excited to work with my mentees. I am President of Student
Ambassadors and have also worked with the Athletics Department since coming to CU. I try to stay busy,
but always make time for some fun in my schedule. I have always been a Buffs fan so going to football and
basketball games is a highlight for me. I also enjoy playing sports, going to concerts and hanging out with my
friends. I love going to CU and am very excited to help you have an amazing year.
Shirley Ye
Congratulations to all you incoming Buffs! I’m Shirley! I have lived in Boulder, CO for 15 years now and I
really enjoy life here in the Centennial State. I’m currently undeclared in Leeds, but considering a marketing
emphasis. The mentoring program really helped me out my freshman year, and helped make the transition
to college so much smoother! I hope I get to help make your first year at college just as fun and memorable!
Taylor Young
Hi! My name is Taylor Young and I am a senior here at CU. I grew up in Littleton Colorado, but my freshman
year of high school I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. I am double majoring in marketing and management.
Apart from school, I love to ski, hike and do anything outdoors. I have played soccer since I was little and I
am still very passionate about it. I also love to spend time with my friends and family and read in my spare
time. I am also a part of the Greek community here at CU. I am enjoying every moment that I have here at
