The Inter-Group Association of Alcoholics Anonymous of New York, Inc., fondly referred to as New York Inter-Group (“NYIG”) is an
association formed by New York area A.A. groups to help fulfill their primary purpose — carry the A.A. message to still-suffering alcoholics.

General Service Office
Live T.V. and Radio

Audio Visual Materials
Produce & distribute audio-visuals via local
P.I. committees throughout U.S. & Canada.
General Service Conference Committee of
Southeast N.Y. (S.E.N.Y.)
Provide speakers (with anonymity
protected) in parts of Southeastern N.Y.
Area not served by Inter-Groups.
New York Inter-Group
Provide speakers (with anonymity
protected) within New York City Boroughs
and Westchester.
Distribute A.A. General Service Conference
approved audio-visual material in parts of
Southeastern N.Y. Area not served by
Inter-Groups.
Distribute A.A. General Service Conference
approved audio-visual materials in New
York Metropolitan Area.
Schools, Colleges,
Provide literature packages when
Senior Citizens' Centers appropriate. Refer speaker requests to
and Community
local service entities.
Groups
Arrange for A.A. speakers outside the New
York City Boroughs and Westchester. Also
arrange for A.A. General Service
Conference approved audio-visual material
to be shown.
Provide speakers to schools, senior
citizens’ centers and community groups. All
levels of public, private and parochial
schools. Arrange for A.A. Conference
approved videos to be shown.
Health Fairs
Provide literature to local P.I. Committees.
Arrange for A.A. members to staff booths/
tables and answer questions about A.A.
Refer to S.E.N.Y. Area Public Information
Committee.
Public Meetings
Same as Health Fairs.
Arrange Open A.A. Meetings for the
general public.
Same as Health Fairs.
Requests for
Information on A.A.
Fulfill requests for information on Alcoholic
Anonymous. Requests for information on
alcoholism referred to outside agencies.
Public Service
Announcements
(P.S.A.’s)
Produce English and Spanish P.S.A.’s for
sale to Area and Intergroup Public
Information Committees.
Provide information on local Open A.A.
Meetings.
Place Public Service Announcements in
S.E.N.Y. Area newspapers. Distribute Public
Service Announcements to TV and radio
stations in parts of Southeastern New York
Area not served by Inter-Groups.
Distribute Public Service Announcements
to T.V. and radio stations in New York City
Boroughs and Westchester.
