Welcome to Borlänge Tour 2014
For the fifteenth time we have the pleasure to welcome all participants, partners,
sponsors, spectators, media and other guests to this year’s edition of Borlänge Tour!
DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPETITION
23rd of May STAGE 1 XCE First start 15:00.
SPRINT. The stage is a well prepared lighted trails which are in connection with a
very fast surface. The distance is about 700 m and contains no significant differences in height and runs first as a time individual qualifier and then for exclusion
heats.
24th of May STAGE 2 XCO First start 09:00
CROSS COUNTRY. The stage is on nice fast trails and contains several short steep
climbs. The terrain is fast but it has some difficult technical elements. The lap is
about 6 km and runs in a varying number of classes. The course returns to the start
and finish area several times and running with a mass start (by class).
24th of May Mellsta MTB Marathon Start 14:30
One of the news this year is a a race for ”recreational riders” that is based on a cooperation between Borlänge CK and Kvarnsvedens GoIF Orienteering. The ”race” is a
single day event and is not included in the stagerace. The start and finish is in the
Mellsta area. The course is 45 km, fairly easy to ride and includes grawel roads and
nice trails. The course also incudes two waterdeposits arranged by the organizers. 25th of May STAGE 3 XCC First start 09:00
CRITERIUM. The stage goes on nice fast paths with short hints of illuminated tracks
and includes several short climbs plus some technical elements. Varying distances
for the different classes and running with a mass start (by class). The lap is about
3.5 km long and is a bit more technical than the XCO.

Notification Borlänge Tour
Notification must be received no later than 13th of May. Notification must be made
by e-mailing [email protected].
Note that notifications received after the 13th of May is possible only if there is
space. Late notification is possible until at 14:00 on 23rd of May and that the competition is a stage race which means that all stages must be run.
Registration fee is paid by organization/club to the competition Secretariat and
is 500 SEK/participant in all classes except Men Elite/Ladies which is 600 SEK/
participant and G/B 10–16 years paying 300 SEK/participant. Beginners pay no
registration fee.
No race numbers are awarded unless all of the association’s registration fees are
paid. NOTE! Late notification to the regular registration fee plus 100%.
Notification Mellsta MTB Marathon
Notificationto the recreational race should be made by e-mailing anmalan@bck.
nu no later than 13th of May. It should include name, birthdate and club/company/
city. Registration fee for international riders is paid in the competition secretariat
and is 450 SEK/participant. Late notification is possible until 24th of May, 13:30, in
the competeition secretariat and the registration fee is then 650 SEK. Prices
Training Grants overall and for all stages of the classes Elite Men and Ladies. Training Grants are paid to the competitor’s club. Cups or commodity prices in other
classes.
