The percentage rating is calculated by dividing the number of good Rotten Tomatoes critical reviews by the total number of Rotten Tomatoes critical reviews. • • Users can quickly determine whether a movie was generally liked or disliked by critics. Indicated by a red tomato icon, a “fresh” movie has achieved a Tomatometer rating of at least 60%. A green splattered tomato icon means a movie is “rotten,” having a rating lower than 60%. • Approved Tomatometer critics meet a set of established standards, mostly from accredited media outlets and online film societies.
