Shorts

Spain
Making the work of the new talents of Spanish cinema who, through their short films,
convey to audiences their concerns, capacities and their high degree of professionalism,
is a priority for the ICAA. This is an important step for disseminating Spanish cinema
and, although it may show the work of only a few directors, it is an excellent example
of the good work and the talent of many others, and we encourage them to continue
creating “major” films, whatever their length may be.

Spain consists of 17 regions, known as Autonomous Communities,
which are endowed with a certain legislative
autonomy with their own representatives, and certain executive and administrative competencies, one of which is culture. Some of these Communities develop
their own catalogue of short films, with the aim of promoting and distributing the short films that the region has produced.
