Audition Notice
Regina’s Globe Theatre requests submissions for their production of
A Christmas Carol
Directed by Kelli Fox.
Auditions will be held in Regina on April 3, 2017.
Casting for the following roles:
Ebenezer Scrooge
Senior actor (50-60). He’s Scrooge.
Jacob Marley, Ghost of Christmas Past, Ghost of Christmas Present, Ghost of Christmas Future
Senior actor, must be a contemporary of Scrooge (50-60). In this version the actor performing this track
is essentially a second lead. He is our main narrator, our host for the evening, and Scrooge’s guide to
redemption.
Bob Cratchit, Dick Wilkins, George, Mr. Clenham, Businessman, Man in Black
Mature actor (40’s). In addition to Bob Cratchit, Scrooge’s famously abused clerk, this actor will take on
a handful of other Londoner’s, some younger, some older than Bob.
Mr. Fezziwig, Charitable Gentleman, Topper, Joe, Ali Baba, Man in Black
Senior actor (50-60). The generous and gregarious Mr. Fezziwig, Scrooge’s first employer, along with a
handful of smaller characters, including Joe the pawn shop owner.
Mr. Fred, Scrooge as a Young Man, Businessman, Debtor, Man in Black
Youthful actor (30’s). Mr. Fred is Scrooge’s young nephew, a happily married, and generally happy man.
Along with this main role, this actor will also have a handful of other roles to fill.
Peter Cratchit, Harlequin, Boy, Ignorance, Man in Black
Young actor, (late teens – early 20’s). Anticipated to be a CTA Level 2 contract. This actor will play one
of a pair of Harlequins who sometimes accompany Marley or the other ghosts and help to set scenes
and advance the story, as well as a few smaller roles.
Mrs. Fezziwig, Mrs. Dilber, Mrs. Bingley, Brigit
Senior actor (50-60); She is the delightful, and perpetually delighted, Mrs. Fezziwig, along with a handful
of smaller, but interesting roles, including Scrooge’s housekeeper who profits after his death by the sale
of his bed curtains.
Mrs. Cratchit, Miss Hurst, Flora, Mr. Fred’s Wife
Mature actor (30’s - 40’s); Bob Cratchit’s long suffering, hardworking wife, along with a handful of
smaller appearances, including the wife of his nephew Fred. This actor needs to be have a broad age
range, to find the youthful joy of Fred’s wife, and the more worn and weary but still upbeat Mrs. C.
Belle, Agnes, Debtor’s Wife, Fan, Martha
Young or youthful actor (20-30); The embodiment of all beautiful and worthy womanhood. Belle is the
woman young Scrooge imagines he loves for a time, Fan his beloved sister, the others represent various
versions of that ideal.
Harlequin, Belinda Cratchit, Young Woman, Miss Jane, Want
Young actor, (late teens – early 20’s.). Anticipated to be a CTA Level 2 contract. One of a pair of
Harlequins who sometimes accompany Marley or the other ghosts and help to set scenes and advance
the story, as well as a few smaller roles.
*Auditions for the role of Tiny Tim will be held at another time.

Please prepare a verse and chorus of a Christmas carol, to be sung acapella.
