A Survey Investigating the Effectiveness of Medical Marijuana
Aims
About the Survey
This survey will be the first to investigate the efficacy
of specific strains of cannabis in treating different
medical conditions.
The survey is open to anyone who has been
recommended medical marijuana, and who is a
member of the Harborside Health Center.
Given the large variance in the chemical composition
of the different strains of cannabis available to
patients there is a need to invetsigate which strains
are more effective in treating different medical
condition.
• The survey will ask you questions about the
current batch of medical marijuana you are
using and then ask more general questions
about your medical marijuana use.
Through this survey we will build up an extensive
database of information about the effectiveness of
the differing strains, as recorded by the patients. This
information will then be correlated with the chemical
composition of specific strains.
This information will allow us to inform future
patients about which strains of cannabis have been
found by users to be the best in treating their specific
medical condition.
Scientific Objectives
• To investigate the effectiveness of individual
strains of cannabis in relation to treatment
outcomes.
• To compare the results of cannabis-treatment
with treatment by conventional pharmaceutical
means.
• To collect data on the associated beneficial and
detrimental characteristics experienced by the
patient from the different strains of cannabis.
• To investigate how the ratio of the three major
active chemical components of cannabis - THC,
CBD, and CBN - affect the treatment outcomes.

• The survey should take you approximately 1520 minutes to complete.
• Your answers are completely anonymous and
no identifying information will be collected or
linked with your email address, or passed on
to third parties.
How Can I Participate?
There are a number of ways you can take part in
this study:
1. You can visit our website and complete the
survey at http://cannabisstudy.com/
2. You can use the dedicated computer at
Harborside Health Center to fill out the Survey.
3. You can receive a paper version of the Survey
through Harborside Health Center front desk
reception staff. Once completed, please return
the survey to a member of staff.
