News from the Office
May flowers are all around us as we welcome some warmer weather
our way. Parents, we ask that you please start to bring in a Spring
change of clothes for your little ones and take home
their Winter ones. Also you could pack some sunscreen
to be kept at school as the hot sunny days won’t be long
behind us. Remember to label everything brought into
daycare, with your child’s name. Parents, please be
careful when taking items out of your child’s cubby,
make sure that you are taking the right items. If you are
not sure about any items the staff is always here to help
you.
Wednesday, May 6th, is McHappy Day...we have sent out order
forms for everyone to pick a kids meal, the cost will be listed as well.
One dollar of every meal goes to support the Ronald McDonald
House.
Reminder to all parents that the centre will be closed on Monday
May 18th for the Victoria Day holiday, and will re-open on Tuesday
May 19th for regular business hours. We hope that everyone has a
wonderful long week-end!!
We would like to take this time and say HAPPY
MOTHER’S DAY to all the moms at the centre.
We will be celebrating with all the moms at
our “Mothers Day-Movie and Me” on Sunday
May 3rd, at the Lakeshore Cinemas. Doors
will open at 9:30am and the movie will start at
10:00am. Please RSVP to Miss Sarah by April
28th. We hope to see all you ladies there!

Infant ONE
We are welcoming Spring in Infant One! We would like to
give a warm welcome to Freddie, Serena, Jace and
Morgan! We look forward to getting to know you and
your families!
Just a reminder to ensure your child has a spare set of
clothes for those messy sensories and outside adventures! Also, Spring jackets, sun hats and sunscreen for
our walks!

Infant TWO News
We are sure this month will bring us lots of nice weather. With
that in mind please make sure your child has the appropriate outdoor attire, such as a hat, jacket, shoes and sunscreen. Also if you
could please take time to bring in a spring change of clothes.
Reminder; We are having our annual Mother’s Day Movie event.
It will be held on Sunday May 3rd, at the Lakeshore cinemas.
Please enjoy a movie with your little ones. Hope to see you all
there.

Toddler One Newsletter
Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun Please shine down on me.
April showers brought May flowers and lots of sunshine fun!
The toddler one room is so excited to be able to enjoy lots of outdoor activities this month; from planting flowers, to making pretty art with sidewalk
chalk. We just can’t wait.
In the month of May we will be inviting a few more friends and families to the
toddler one room. We are so excited to get to know each and everyone of you.
Also, a sad farewell to our toddlers that will be moving up. It was such a
pleasure watching you grow, we will miss you very much.

Parents, the cubbies are beginning to look very full. Please take the time to go
through your child’s cubby and please take home any Winter items. Also, with
the nice weather here we ask that you bring in sunscreen and sun hats.

Toddler Two
With warmer weather creeping up on us, we ask that you keep sun
safety in mind. Hats and sunglasses are always appreciated – our playground is quite sunny. On that note, we ask that you label all accessories so that nothing gets lost or misplaced.
Parents: WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you, or anyone you know, has medium
to large sized boxes we can use for an upcoming special day, we would
love the donation. We would like these boxes with the intent for our toddlers to use them as forts and/or cars. Thank you in advance!
Upcoming special days:
Tuesday, May 5th: Planting Flowers: Our toddlers will have green
thumbs for the day! We will be planting lots of colourful flowers to brighten up our classroom. The toddlers have had many opportunities to play in dirt and
water seeds we planted last month, so we are looking
forward to seeing how they handle real flowers.
Thursday, May 14th: Stimulate Your Senses: This day
is rescheduled from last month. To refresh, our room
will be set up in different centres that will focus on
the five senses: touch, taste, smell and sound
Tuesday, May 19th: Bubble Pop: We will be making our own bubbles!
The toddlers will help make the solution and we will use a variety of different wands to make them different sizes. Our goal: to make the biggest bubbles we can muster.
Thursday, May 28th: Build Your Own Fort/Car: We will be collecting different sized boxes (big enough for the toddlers to crawl/sit in) and they will be using
various materials and writing utensils to
decorate them. Our idea came from the interest the kids take in empty laundry baskets!

Toddler 3 Newsletter
May is the month of sunshine and flowers.
Birds in their nest….and maybe one or two
showers. But now that the nice weather is here we are very excited
to spend time outside. We ask parents to bring in a hat and sunscreen for your child. Please remember to label them with your
child’s name.
This month we will also be looking
at improving your child’s vocabulary
with different activities and flash
cards. We will be working on our
colours by identifying the different
flashcards we show throughout the
class.

the warmer weather will be here before you know it.

April showers has brought May
flowers and the weather is warming up!
Please remember to send your toddler with proper
clothing for the weather as well as sunscreen, hats, etc. as
we will be going outside to enjoy the beautiful sun!
We would like to wish a special Happy Birthday to
Manha this month on May 11th. What a BIG girl!
We have lots of exciting days coming up this month:
May 8th-Camping Day, we will be setting up tents and
making s’mores for snack, as well as other fun camping
activities.
May 12th-Movie and PJ Day, please remember to send
your toddler in pajamas.
May 22nd-Baking Day, we will be making cookies and
cupcakes today! What yummy fun.
May 28th-Show and Tell, please bring something special
to show all your friends-a favourite toy,
book or items from home.

Preschool ONE
Spring makes the world a happy place
You see a smile on every face.
Flowers in bloom, grass is green;
It’s one of the nicest things I’ve seen.
The preschool one friends would like to send out a very HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY on
May 10th to all the moms out there!
Don’t forget that the Toy Box is holding our annual Mother’s Day movie on May
3rd. Make sure to let Sarah know by April 28th if you are attending. We hope to
see all our special mom’s at the movies.

Preschool 3 Newsletter
Oh! Hey, this month is May! It’s time to get
loose Preschool 3 is going Dr. Seuss! Hope
you enjoyed going under the sea but Dr.
Seuss is going to be so much fun believe
me!
We’ll be doing lots of crafts like Horton
hears a who, red fish, blue fish and put me
in the zoo.
May 6th-We’re doing something for Mother’s Day...but that’s a
secret, sorry moms I can not say!
May 14th-We’ll be putting our hands on green oobleck slime,
it’ll be so much fun we’ll want to do it all the time.
Oh, I can not wait to have so much fun!
May 19th-Is opposite day just like Thing 2 and Thing 1...shoes
on the wrong feet, feet, feet, shirts on backwards it will be SO
very neat.
May 21st-MOVIE DAY! Horton hears a Who. I’ll be wearing the
colours red and white and so should YOU!
I know, I know my name is not Sam I am but on May 28th I
hope you’ll be hungry we’ll be eating Green Eggs and Ham!
Well its sad to say good bye to Miss Tawyna we love you and
will miss you so! We have a new teacher coming in you might
even know her. With that said I’d like to welcome Miss Alicia
to Preschool 3! She’s AWESOME and very nice you’ll have to
wait and see. See you in May everyone!

Preschool 4 Bulletin
Happy Birthday to Arabelle and Duncan on May
5th. Not only is it Cinco de Mayo but we have a
double Birthday in our room. Happy Birthday to
Heaton on May 23, you have grown so much. We
are very proud of you! Happy Birthday to Alexander on May 25, he has grown to be a very kind and
sweet little man. Happy Birthday to Jerzie on May
27, this little lady will make you smile. She is cute and she knows it!

Thurs. May 7th-Disney, Pixar, Marvel...Dress up as your favourite
character. Wear a t-shirt, or even a costume you have of your super hero character.
Tues. May 12th-Planting...Our beans have sprouted in our window,
time to plant them. Make sure your child wears something that
they can get dirty.
Thurs. May 21st-Picnic...Weather permitting we are going to have
our afternoon snack outside!
Tues. May 26th-Making Play dough...Your child will be making
the softest play dough ever. We will be using corn starch and hair
conditioner.
Fri. May 29th-Movie and Munchies...We will be making popcorn
and other munchies for our movie.
We would like to wish all our Mom’s a very
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY on May 10th.

Preschool FIVE
Welcome MAY!
The sun is out, the birds will sing, the flowers grow, we call that Spring. With such
bright colours, it’s a lovely sight, this month will be a great delight.
P5 has developed a great love for nature since first planting our seeds in April and
watching them grow. The children learned that plants need food, water and love,
just like humans do!
We will continue exploring nature and all it has to offer this month by introducing
insects to the friends who are interested. We know not all friends are comfortable
with bugs, so this will be their choice to participate.
