Newsletter 5
Dear Parents
We have got to the end of term 1! Our new reception children have settled in so well, almost like they have
always been here! The other year groups have all settled into their new year groups very well too…although
I am sure that they are all ready for a break!
Next term is a busy one so please make sure that you have all of the dates for events like Christmas Nativities
and the Christmas fayre. We are also hoping to be selling Christmas trees again at the fayre, so please tell
family and friends about them as they are very good quality and at very competitive prices!
Have a good break and don’t forget that Friday is a non-school uniform day.
Kier Newsletter
Please keep an eye out for
the Kier Construction
newsletter which will be emailed soon. It gives an
update on how the build is going and what you need to
know about it over the coming weeks. Work will be
continuing over the holiday, and within a couple of
weeks the main building will soon be arriving, which
will be very exciting!
Winter days
As the mornings and nights draw in
and a darker (the clocks change
backwards on Saturday
night/Sunday morning of the 29th
October), please remember
children’s safety travelling to school. A high visibility
jacket is a great idea for children walking to school,
and helmets and lights are very sensible for those who
travel by bike or scooter.
Reading
Although it is important to have a
restful half term, please
encourage your child to keep
reading over the holidays. This
can be their school reading books, but also comics,
magazines or newspapers.
Goodbye for now and best wishes
On Friday at the end of this term, we
say a goodbye for now to Mrs. Hayward
in Year 1. She will be going on Maternity
leave and the class will then be taught
by Ms. Dolman. Ms. Dolman has got to
know the children the past few weeks
so she will be familiar with them when
she is here full time.
We would like to give Mrs. Hayward our best wishes
for the future and we will keep all parents informed
when a baby arrives!
ParentPay
As it is the end of the term, could you
please check your ParentPay account and
bring any outstanding payments, i.e. school dinners,
after school club, swimming lessons and school trips
up to date. Thank you.
