There are required narratives for the first 11 components. The scores range from a low of 1 to a high of 5 and are based on a rubric found on the RAMP website. To receive RAMP, the average score from the 3 reviewers must be a 54 or higher. Foundation -1. Statement of Philosophy 2. Mission Statement 3. School Counseling Program Goals 4. Program Evaluation Reflection How does the school’s comprehensive school counseling program use leadership, advocacy and collaboration to create systemic change to make a difference for students? Written or in a video or audio format. The four elements should be apparent. If written, the response must be 500– 1,500 words. Use the School Counseling Program Assessment to help determine readiness. Review the rubric carefully. Use the narratives effectively. Read the RAMP application process. For more help with data collection and analysis, consult "Making DATA Work.“ Understand the difference between process, perception and outcome data. Ensure the application covers at least one full school year. Proofread the application for spelling, grammar and punctuation. Ensure your application is clear and understandable for someone unfamiliar with your program. Create file names for your uploaded documents that clearly reflect the file contents. Keep a copy of the application, including the narratives, in electronic or paper form. Review all components of the submission before hitting the final "submit" button. October Oct. 15 – RAMP applications due. January By Jan. 18 - ASCA notifies schools about RAMP status. February Feb. 22 – Resubmissions due. April By Apr. 12 – ASCA notifies resubmission schools. Schools that score between 48-53 will be eligible for resubmission. Schools that scores 47 or below will not be eligible to resubmit. The same reviewers will score the resubmissions. RAMP designations are for three years. At the end of that time, a school must successfully reapply to maintain current RAMP status. Re-RAMP applications are due Oct. 15. Complete the regular online RAMP application AND include a response to an additional question. “What impact has a high-quality, comprehensive school counseling program had on your school and students? Select one area for which you have collected data for the previous three school years and include a results report demonstrating the impact your program has had during that time. Relevant information and documentation must be included.” This component will not factor into the final score but is required for the application to be reviewed. All applications must be completed by 5:00 Pacific Time on Oct. 15, 2012. No late applications will be accepted. Applications are reviewed for eligibility by ASCA prior to the scoring process. The rubric will be modified to reflect changes to the ASCA National Model – 3rd Edition. This new rubric will be available early fall. ASCA templates will be required. Questions?
