the cat in the hat - Need to learn to use rhyming words to
help to find him

HERE and THERE signs - set up areas around outdoor area with
signs so ch can see rhyming words written eg sand/hand

Would you like them on the floor or would you like them by the

Get ch to join in with questions above and response – I do not like
them Sam I am, I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them
in the sand and don’t want to eat them in my hand. I don’t want
them here I don’t want them there I do not want them anywhere!
OUTSIDE - Opposites assault course – high / low Dark/light wide
/narrow up/down in/out In front/behind under/over – range of
cards for children to create own obstacle course
Push / pull games – PUSH measuring distance of hoops pushed,
large trucks down ramp (using chalk to show distance travelled)
Pulling games – tug of war, pulling tyres races
