Friends & Family,
Here’s the status of the Sanchez family: we are entering a
new season of life in Kansas City, Missouri to work for the
International House of Prayer (IHOPKC) as Intercessory
Missionaries. God has been stirring our hearts for a deeper
level of prayer and knowledge of God. IHOPKC has asked me to
join the marketing staff to help grow the prayer movement via
social media and digital marketing. We will also be spending a
significant amount of time every week interceding in the prayer
room together - a prayer room that has been running 24-7-365
for 13 years.
We are excited to grow closer to Jesus by partnering with Him in
prayer and mobilizing this generation through social media, all to
see “God’s kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is
in heaven.”

What’s social media?
It’s the use of interactive websites like Facebook, Twitter,
YouTube and blogs to communicate among organizations,
communities and individuals. It has become a powerful tool
among this generation to spread ideas and influences.

praying and fasting for this to happen). July 8th, 2012
Daniel & Amy Sanchez celebrated their 2 year wedding anniversary. June 27th, 2012
Selah Sanchez entered the world at 7 lbs 8 ounces,
full of life and with bright blue eyes. May 25th, 2012

What is intercessory prayer?
It’s asking God what’s on His heart and mind that He wants to
do, and then it’s praying His plans into action. 1 Timothy 2:1, “I
urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and
thanksgiving be made for all people.” Colossians 4:2, “Devote
yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Philippians
4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by
prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests
to God.”

Our calling is to provoke thirst in the hearts of others for Jesus.
Although provoking thirst can have unlimited facets it has
primarily been two-fold for us: intercessory prayer +
digital marketing.

I’m so excited to be a part of the community of IHOP-KC,
especially with Selah. What a joy to watch the power of prayer
change bad circumstances into beautiful ones. I love that my
heavenly Father shares with me what burdens His heart and
that He cares about my requests, so that when I pray He
redeems! He is so kind. What an honor to raise our newborn
daughter in this environment. Selah and I will be joining Daniel
in the prayer room every morning to pray together as a family.

Daniel first met Amy
March 2009 at the Watchmen’s Cry House of Prayer
I remember seeing Amy for the first time at the Watchmen’s Cry House of Prayer in Loveland, CO.
I watched her as she prayed, laughed, cried, and loved on Jesus. Certainly a “like” at first sight.
Much of the year and a half leading up to our wedding day thereafter was spent at the Watchmen’s Cry partnering with the
Lord’s heart through intercessory prayer. It was part of our relationship and part of our calling from early on.
We both agreed that we would work for a House Of Prayer in a more significant way in the future,
and now that day has come.
