TYPES OF MARQUEES.
FRAME TENTS.
These marquee types have no centre poles or guy ropes (therefore no trip hazard). They can be erected upon any surface and even placed next to buildings
and smaller types of marquee tents. They can be erected over a larger space and it is even possible to erect them over swimming pools, flowerbeds and even
trees.
As these tents are made from aluminium frames they are sturdy, ridged and quite versatile in structure. The walls of the aluminium frame tent can be
removed therefore can be made to fit the occasion and weather.
TRADITIONAL POLE TENTS
These marquee tents require poles and guy ropes, therefore must be erected on grass. Hand made canvas coverings are used. This marquee is the more attractive than the frame marquee. Due to this it is much less practical and versatile. Due to the tent being covered in canvas as opposed to pvc it is a breathable material which will allow air to circulate and cool the space down (a must for the hot summer days).
2
CHINESE HAT PAGODA
These are perfect for smaller parties or entrances. They are 5M by 5M frames which can be easily joined together to
make attractive peaks.

MARQUEE PRO’S AND CON’S
PROS

Gives bride and groom great flexibility in their wedding plans

It can be any size, it can fit around your ideal guest list

Choose marquee style to suit wedding theme

Gives complete control over decoration, hardly any restrictions

Bride and groom can choose the layout of the inside e.g. The size and placing of the dance floor

No venue hire costs as parents own the proposed venue.

A saving may also be made on food and refreshments as it will probably work out cheaper to bring caterers in as opposed to having a different venue and them doing the food and drinks (no corkage charge).

As you are already comfortable in your parent’s home you will feel already at ease in this venue choice and it will be a great place to add to your
wonderful memories.
CONS

Marquees are quite seasonal they are best used in spring, summer (with good air con), autumn.

Most expensive during spring, summer and autumn months.

Have to hire other facilities such as heating, air con, table and chairs, and toilet facilities.

It requires bride, groom and families to decorate and then tidy up after the wedding.

Marquee weddings can be very noisy, so noise pollution may be an issue. If marquee wedding is being held in garden, neighbours may be upset if
music is loud or carries on into the early hours (unless neighbours are invited of course).

To combat any problems on the day an on site wedding coordinator may be advisable otherwise it may fall upon your family and friends to sort
problems out.

Parking will need to be thought about as well as accommodation.

two mint green ones to symbolise longevity and prosperity and a single gold one to symbolise wealth.
Once all guests are settled a waiter will be assigned to each table and will take orders from everyone for the fully stocked bar. Cocktails will also be available on request. From each table
guests will be able to view the cake and accompanying dessert bar.
