Sixth Grade Math Honors Packet

June 2016
Parents/Guardians:
Next year your student will be enrolled in 6th Grade Honors for his/her math class. When we arrive
at school in August, we will briefly review the concepts that they learned in 5th grade. In order to
help ensure your student’s success, it is required that your student completes the attached review
packet.
THIS PACKET IS WORTH 100 POINTS AND IS DUE ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
The students will be tested on this material during the first weeks of school.
Your student can use their 5th grade notes to help them complete the packet. An additional resource
is the website http://www.khanacademy.org. Here students can enter the topic they are learning
about and see a tutorial lesson on it.
If there are any problems through summer as your student is working on the packet, please feel free
to contact me via email [email protected] or the following 6th grade Honors Math teachers:
AVM: Mrs. Kephart at [email protected]
Brooks: Mrs. Rooney at [email protected]
Humphrey: Mrs. Roach at [email protected]
Jane Addams: Ms. Tinsley at [email protected]
Lukancic: Ms. Letizia at [email protected]
