Buffet Dinner $32.00 START/FINISH: Visitor Information Center – Picnic Area 84 Old Main Street Deerfield, MA 01342 TRAIL DESCRIPTIONS: Walk through the lovingly restored town of Historic Deerfield. Both the 6km and 10km walks use sidewalks, streets, and some grass to walk past the 12 restored homes, owned by Historic Deerfield Inc., originally built between 1730 and 1850. The town also has privately owned homes and two schools, Deerfield Academy and Bement School. Both walks traverse Old Main Street, parts of Deerfield Academy campus, and follow a grass path passing a dairy farm. The 6km then goes by athletic fields and follows a dirt road through local farm land. The 10km includes a stretch along Mill Village Road passing several farms before crossing Rt. 5/10 to walk along another road behind the Old Deerfield Country Store and Richardson's Candy. LAST NAME, FIRST, MIDDLE INITIAL Anyone may participate regardless of age or physical fitness. A non-competitive event, this walk is accomplished at your own pace along a marked 6km (3.7 miles) or 10km (6.2 miles) route. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Leashed pets are welcomed on the trail and clean-up laws apply. AWARD: This is a credit-only event.
