TRAIL DESCRIPTIONS: Walk through the
lovingly restored town of Historic Deerfield.
Both the 6km and 10km walks use sidewalks,
streets, and some grass to walk past the 12
restored homes, owned by Historic Deerfield
Inc., originally built between 1730 and 1850.
The town also has privately owned homes and
two schools, Deerfield Academy and Bement
School. Both walks traverse Old Main Street,
parts of Deerfield Academy campus, and
follow a grass path passing a dairy farm. The
6km then goes by athletic fields and follows a
dirt road through local farm land. The 10km
includes a stretch along Mill Village Road
passing several farms before crossing Rt. 5/10
to walk along another road behind the Old
Deerfield Country Store and Richardson's
Candy.
