From the Principal’s Desk
Dear Parents/Guardians,
The new school year has started! We had re-organization
day on September 21, 2015. Presently, we are at 250 students.
Fortunately, we did not have to re-organize any classrooms. The
staff and students worked on setting up their organizational goals
for the year. Our weekly assemblies have been going well and the
students are falling back into their routines! Please welcome our
new grade 2/3 teacher, Ms. McIntosh, and our new grade 3/4
teacher, Mr. Stewart, to Maxwell!
Chocolate bar sales are going extremely well and we still
have a few packages to sell. If you would like more, please see
Mrs. Adlam. We have extended the due date to October 16, 2015.
Please return the funds as soon as possible to Mrs. Adlam so that
we can use the funds for school related activities. Our assembly
for the prizes will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.
Please ensure you have returned all funds by October 16th to ensure your child can be a part of the prize draws.
A reminder that we have two special events in October. Our
Fall Festival and Movie Night will be held on October 16, 2015.
Our School Council will also be hosting a food day on October 23,
2015 from SUBWAY. We would like to acknowledge and thank
the School Council for assisting with our community building
events. We hope to see you out at our Fall Festival, enjoying the
fall weather and each other’s company!
Sincerely yours,
Rob Romano

Attention: Parents & Students
The Maxwell School Council needs your help. We are asking all of our parents and
students to help participate in our Fall Festival Bake Sale. We are asking if everyone
could help out by contributing some type of baked good item. Examples are Pies,
Cupcakes, Cookies, Tarts, Cakes, etc. Just a friendly reminder, that ALL ITEMS MUST BE
NUT FREE. Donations can be dropped off in the morning, right in front of the office.
Also please label all containers with your child’s name & classroom on it, so the
containers can be returned to you.
The Bake Sale is on Friday October 16, 2015 starting at 10am. The Bake Sale will run
throughout the day & during the Movie as well. Come and join us for Dinner & Movie, with
the Family. This year’s movie is “HOME” is by DreamWorks. The movie starts at 5pm
sharp. Hot Dogs will be available for purchase starting at 4pm.
Thank you for your generosity and your support.
