ENGLEWOOD CHRISTIAN CHURCH WEEKLY PRAYER LIST 4/6/16 – 4/12/16 1. PRAISING GOD a. Keith Wright was baptized on 3/29 & Iesha Barrow was baptized on 4/3 b. The 4/1 viewing of God’s Not Dead 2 was encouraging to our faith & confidence; many went & took friends c. Tim Willingham did a great job in our 4/3 p.m. service explaining the dangers of substance abuse 2. PRAYING FOR THE SPIRITUALLY LOST a. Praying for those living in our area of Jacksonville who need to become Christians & those who need a church home – Powers Ave., Quatilebaum Rd., Morton St., Chester Ave., Chester Cir., Morrow St., Morton St., Smithfield St., Dupont Station Ct., Safay St., Dupont Ave., Caballeo Dr., La Mirada Dr., Valerosa Ct. b. The Lord will give us courage to speak to others concerning their salvation! 3. MISSIONS’ & CHURCHES’ NEEDS a. Lifeline Christian Mission’s Lovelink Omoa Children’s Home in Honduras that we support will meet the needs of the children & be of help to their families also. 4. PRAYING FOR OUR MILITARY, NATION, & WORLD NEEDS a. Our US military personnel stationed around the world; their safety as their mission becomes more precarious with radical Islam on the move & being so violent b. US & local elections will see godly people elected to office & not people who are obviously not willing to follow God’s righteous ways! 5. ECC REQUESTS a. The Lord will help us find an outstanding young man to fill our open Student Ministry position. b. Ladies’ Retreat on 4/15-16 will be a great encouragement through fellowship, worship, & great speaker, Kay Moll. c. Youth who will be attending the July Christ In Youth Conference will have enough jobs to earn their way to the July life-changing event. d. Power Challengers’ Summer Camp from 6/13-8/12 will fill up & overflow with young people from grades K-8. 6. ECC FAMILY MEMBERS a. Martha Tenpenny & family – Marcus, D.J., and Alex will make good choices; Jamie’s family issues; Martha’s arthritis pain in knees and hands will diminish b. Cauleen Dolan – healing from cancer c. Kay Casey – PRAISE! able to attend; will continue to be able to attend church activities; health and finances d. Allen Bennett – family needs e. Linda Bennett – car problems, will find out what is wrong so it can be fixed f. Jeremy & Susan Collins – need a place to live immediately; Susan will be able to keep up with her school work g. Terry & Pat Thompson – strength and help dealing with walking issues h. Meri Magee – able to sell house in Ohio & find one here in FL i. Pat Underwood – has a sinus infection, surgery rescheduled j. Mick Hall – having gallbladder removed k. Rhonda Picton – drs. will be able to figure out the issues 7. ECC RELATIVES’ & FRIENDS’ NEEDS a. Kathy Bradley – Kay Casey’s daughter; return to health after car accident b. Bishop Herbert Cohen – Mark McClendon’s childhood preacher; very sick c. Alva Woolfolk – Mark McClendon’s friend; peace in her family d. Carl Smith – name submitted on Sunday connection card; unknown prayer needs e. Rodney Topping – James Topping’s father; fell and broke foot; waiting on doctor to determine if surgery is needed f. Laura Kelly – pass English class; finances get better; son, Paul, needs a job close to home; Becca’s 4/20-25 trip and housing for school; Praise! Laura’s mother is still cancer free g. Eunice Scott – Sheryl Bucur's mother; at Life Care dealing with several issues primarily fractured vertebrae and pneumonia h. Edna Kitchens – Gene Worth’s mother; her cancer has come back i. Nick Fleming’s father – upcoming heart surgery j. Georgia Mitchell – Madonna Smith’s granddaughter; home with thrombosis sinus and will be treating with medication with no surgery planned at this time
