The distinctive Polo grille has two horizontal middle panels, giving its
confident smirk an added touch of sophistication.
The lower grille has a sporty chrome strip that shoots across
longitudinally and cradles the front fog lights.

How do you make a cleaner, more efficient engine without compromising
on the drive? Volkswagen has never failed to break new grounds and set
new standards and the Polo is no different. It incorporates the award-winning
TSI engine technology across all models so you’ll never have to choose
between performance and economy again. The TSI 1.2 litre engines offer
enhanced performance superior to many 1.6 litre engines, combining
innovative direct injection and turbocharging technology. These engines are
also smaller, lighter and have less impact on the environment by reducing
fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. All this, whilst keeping your drive
as powerful and pleasing as ever.
The signature tail lights are designed with elegantly-styled lines, which
complement the innovation and modern elements of the car.
The design of the alloy wheels leave no question that sporty
attitude fused with design flair come standard on the Polo.
TDI.
TDI identifies all our advanced diesel engines using direct injection and a turbocharger. TDI engines are economical and smooth with high levels of pulling power and good energy efficiency.
The great advantage of TDI engines is that they are very powerful, even at low revs, and economical across the entire speed range as they burn fuel more efficiently and produce more power.
This means better performance, with more pulling power than you would get from traditional fuel injection systems.
Polo BlueMotion.
Stop-Start Technology saves fuel by switching off the engine when the vehicle is stopped and reduces the impact of your vehicle on the environment. The award-winning 1-litre, 70kW TSI
engines are smaller and lighter but still have maximum pulling power. There is zero fuel emission tax thanks to the many different energy-saving features such as reduced overall body mass,
low resistance rolling tyres and lowered suspension. All these features support Volkswagen’s greater fuel economy commitment to being kinder to the planet.

Hill-hold Assist keeps you steady on hills and inclines. No more clutch-control or rolling back!
The Multi-collision Braking System keeps you safer in an accident by slowing you down at the point of contact,
preventing a secondary collision.
This is thanks to improved impact resistance, crumple zones, standard ESP across the range, rear fog light,
high-level rear brake light and ISOFIX child seat mountings. The Polo also features an advanced airbag system
with four airbags and improved ABS with EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution).
Coming Home Lights (optional) are activated when you open your vehicle’s door. The number plate light, side
mirror lights and tail lights illuminate the way as you leave your car.
The Tyre Pressure Monitor (standard on Highline and Cross) allows you to keep track of your tyre pressure so you can
be certain that you’ve got enough air in your tyres. Optimum tyre pressure makes for optimum safety on the road.
Low Beam Assist (optional) detects when it’s dark and automatically switches on the low beam headlights when
the headlight setting is set on “Auto”.
Park Distance Control enables effortless parking through rear sensors that alert you to obstacles behind you.
The advanced airbag system features two side airbags as well as driver and front passenger airbags with
front passenger airbag deactivation.
Fatigue Detection (standard on Highline) detects irregular driving
patterns and warns you when it’s time to take a break on a long drive.
The Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) intelligently controls the engine management system to help
correct oversteer, understeer and loss of grip when turning.
In the event of a primary collision, the Multi-collision Braking System automatically activates, braking the vehicle and slowing it down to a defined
minimum speed within the driving dynamic limits controlled by the ESC head unit, which can prevent subsequent crashes.
