the Lord has accomplished much to establish Forerunners of America as a viable,

Q&A with Dave Warn
Recently, Advisory Board member Tim Baylor sat down
with the Forerunners of America founder, Dave Warn,
to ask some questions about the ministry.
TIM: How has the Lord encouraged you over
the last year?
Nothing is better than receiving affirmation from the
Lord. I’ll never forget being in prayer shortly after launching
FOA, and God spoke into my spirit that FOA is what I was
born to do—everything else was preparation! This was just
one of many affirmations.
Also, through some surprising circumstances, God
brought our first full-time staff member, Brent Kanyok,
on board. Brent is a gifted person with a burden for our
nation who brings contagious enthusiasm to follow Jesus
wherever he goes.
Additionally, God has graciously brought volunteers
at just the right time. He has assembled a godly Advisory
Board, a National Implementation Team, and long-term
forerunners in a number of locations. Being part of a
multi- faceted team that carries a burden for our nation
is so encouraging!
TIM: The nation is a big place and may take some
time to influence. What does an everyday “win”
look like in Forerunners of America?
God had called everyone connected to FOA to love
people. Paul said, “Love never fails” (1 Cor. 13:8). If love
never fails, we will never fail if we are loving people. With
this in mind, God has called FOA to love millions of people
in three specific ways:
First, we love people by alerting them to the precarious trajectory of our nation and the evidence that
God has been gradually (and sometimes not so gradually) removing His hand of blessing. On our current path
and from what the Word teaches, it is vital for people to
be aware that divine judgment is a very real possibility
for our nation. This is a hard message, but many have
stated they would rather know the truth than simply
hear platitudes.
Second, we love people by helping them respond
in faith—not fear. There is much that could produce fear
today. For example, the unpredictability of racism, the
marginalization and sometimes rejection of the Christian
worldview, rampant immorality, Islamism that champions
Sharia Law, the threat of terrorist attacks, natural disasters,
volatile financial markets, and national and personal debt.
But fear was NEVER part of God’s plan for those who follow
Him. We can be Jesus followers who are prepared to minister in power regardless of the circumstances (Acts 8:1-40).
Third, we love people by helping Christians prepare to
take in the greatest harvest of souls our nation has seen in
generations. As much as possible, believers need to move
into this kind of ministry now, but when God sends a greater
shaking to our nation, I believe the fruit could be enormous.
In summary, if we are loving people in these three ways,
we will be able to say each day, “Mission accomplished!”
TIM: As you look to the next twelve months, how
do you want us to pray for you and Forerunners
of America?
Everything flows out of our relationship with the Lord
and receiving His “now” message for the nation. Please
pray that Renae, Brent, and I will be undistracted and
spend the best hours of each day seeking Him and hearing from the Holy Spirit. If the Lord is leading this ministry,
I have no doubt we will bear the “much fruit” Jesus talked
about (John 15:8).
Second, we are believing God to raise up 5,000
forerunners who will influence many others, who will in
turn influence the nation. Toward this end, we hope to
host several Discern the Hour events, see God call out
His forerunners, train them in effective ministry, and help
them reproduce. Reflecting on this, please pray that we
will experience much grace and favor from the Lord. With
God all things are possible!
