A. Tener expressions Sentences with blanks and a bank of expressions, like the practice activity on the worksheet.
B. Ir a / Acabar de
For ir a and acabar de, I’ll ask you to translate a short sentence from English to Spanish, like “I’ve just showered” or “I’m going to
shower”. Some will be reflexive, so know where to put pronouns. I’ll use some verbs from our verb list, too.
C. Derivatives
For derivatives, I’ll give you a stem like –poner and you need to know that a Spanish derivative that ends with –poner ends with
-- pose in English.
D. Demonstratives I’ll ask you to fill out a chart showing all of the masculine/feminine singular/plural forms (plus the neuter) of the
demonstrative adjectives.
E. Speaking Will be recorded in lab. There will be a time limit for each response.
1) I’ll say some things from the “Introductions” sheet and you’ll provide an appropriate response.
2) I’ll show you a picture and ask you to describe it using circumlocution techniques.
